Bottle & Can Retrieval Center — Local services in Town of Lockport

I love this place! Staff is friendly and take care of customers if the machine is being used, do a great job of keeping it clean considering the sticky mess that most people bring in because nobody seems to be able to rinse the cans, and I love the giant machine you can just empty bottles by the bagful instead of one at a time BS at other stores where half the cans are rejected only because the store doesn’t sell the product which is ridiculous and a waste of time. Then the machine will fill up and you stand there waiting for someone to empty the bin and it’s just the most irritating and time consuming process and I will NEVER go back to that after finding this place! Waited in line for 30 minutes to use the big machine so it wouldn’t take me 1 hours to return 8 bags of bottle once it’s my turn she tells me to just throw them in the self service machine. But takes the person behind me for the big machine who had one bag of bottles then once I load the machine it it stops working and proceeds to stop working 5 more times while I’m using it. All when they could have dumped them in the larger machine and made it easier for everyone. Bc I had more bottles than anyone but made me use the self service station instead of helping me. It took 4x longer than it should have for no reason. Still don’t understand why she wouldn’t help me but helped the person behind me with 5$...

We arrived there today with about 10 bags of bottles. As soon as we walked in the girl behind the counter made it VERY clear they were closing in 10 minutes. We had to wait for someone in front of us to finish on the self load machine and then we tried to work as fast as we could. Here is the part that caused the one star- 2 people came in after us and the employees took their bottles over on a side counter. Super quick - they were both in and out (with many bags) while we were waiting on the machine. Then with 4 bags left they told us we couldn’t load more and we had to take the rest of our bottles elsewhere. They would not take our bottles to this quick side counter. Very rude, we will not...
