I just moved. I don't like the places around me so much. There's not a lot of options and some of those options aren't good which leaves even less options. So friend works in Malta and we've been trying out places in Malta. We ordered from China Wang. I ordered a lot because I wasn't sure if I was going to like the food because normally if there's an order of both beef lo mien and general tso chicken one tastes horrible and the other ones great in this case they both taste awesome. Because I was afraid it was going to not be good I also ordered appetizers. They were not stingy with Fortune cookies. I ordered shrimp toast, crab rangoons & fried chicken wings beef lo mein, General Tso chicken with white rice and steamed vegetables because General Tso can never have enough vegetables I have never had good shrimp toast except this time. I did decide it's always greasy however there's where big and crispy and full of flavor. Eating leftovers I've decided they are best the next day cold. the . Fried chicken - I don't know what they put in it but it has a flavor that I cannot even Hazard a guess which is so fantabulous . It just makes my mouth water. It is also good as leftover cuz before I wrote this and it just gets better . Friend didn't care for it he said it had a flavor he didn't like I think that's the flavor I love and neither of us know what it is.. Then the crab rangoon. They were good but again everybody's using a wrapper I don't like. I don't know what kind of dough it is it's a wonton or egg roll it's just not fragile and delicate; it's tougher? It tasted good the night we got it. It tastes good last night when I had them before bed. They were chewy and crispy and just yummy; they were that midnight snack you need. The beef lo mein had so much meat and they were big pieces. It had that velvety texture but also the texture that it was very well Mallet tenderized. My only issue was when I called to verify that they put bok choy and Sprouts in it which they do I forgot to ask if they put anything else in it. Unfortunately for me and my stomach they do put onions in it which are my stomach's mortal enemy. As I ate I felt and crunched something different so I called them up and verified they put onions in it The owner was really nice. I could hear him very clearly and he said next time let us know what vegetables you want and we can make sure you get exactly what you want. Going back was not an option because I'm nowhere near them. That being said all the food traveled really well. The containers traveled really well and the food held up as leftovers. My roommate got General Tso chicken. He said it was good. It was as beautiful reddish color with a lovely crunchy texture and juicy meat with a lot of sauce and just a fabulous flavor. It did have chili peppers in it and I remember him saying "this is spicy, I just but into a chili pepper". It also left over well. Everything left over well. Definitely ordering it again. The steamed vegetables and the General Tso's chicken came with their own rice and we got a lot of fortune cookies with good fortunes. I didn't go to pick up the food. I know that they're on Dunning Street in malta. I forgot to ask roommate how everything went but he didn't say anything when he got home so I guess everything went perfect. It won't let me share...
Read moreAlthough the usual rude customer service seemed to have slightly improved as the woman was basically pleasant behind the counter, the food seems to have taken a turn. I ordered a large Pork Lo Mein, large pork fried rice, large chicken and broccoli, and large sweet and sour chicken for a total of $41.30.
I literally counted nine pieces of pork in the Pork Lo Mein. The pork fried rice was basically sprinkled with minor bits of pork, which is totally not the norm. The chicken and broccoli was about 90% broccoli. Lastly, the sweet and sour chicken barely filled the container whereas it's usually filled to the point where the lid is crushing the chicken.
Apparently they must have sold too many pork ribs or pork dishes the day before, whereas that's where they generally take their pork fried rice pork and Pork Lo Mein pork from the next day... it's from the day befores leftovers. Having been in the restaurant business for over 30 years I'm pretty aware of how Chinese restaurant operations are generally run.
Of course when you make a comment or complain the best you get is a sorry, and that's the best you'll ever get. It would be a cold day in hell before they actually suggested comping your meal or even throwing something in, especially when they've seen your face many...
Read moreThis place is a joke. I ordered dinner for me and my 10 year old daughter tonight. We are staying at a hotel and she wanted pizza which was on the way. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce. What I got was shrimp in water. It literally had not even a hint of lobster. None whatsoever. On top of that the flavor it did have was gross. I called and kindly asked if I could just get store credit because at this point I assigned myself to sharing the pizza mentioned earlier so we didn’t have to go back out. She refused to give me store credit and said if I wanted to exchange it I had to bring it back to the store. Then the line went dead. I had to call back to tell another lady what had happened and what I wanted to replace my order. She took it and I drove all the way back to the restaurant. When I walked in I was met with such a nasty unprofessional attitude that I became irritated. Then she refused to serve me at all. Then told me I had to go back to the hotel room to get my card or I would not get a refund. I refused to leave the store and finally after all that she refunded my money and told me to have a good night. She...
