McDonald's — Restaurant in Town of Malta

Being a McDonald's location on 67 in the heart of Malta, right near one of the largest companies in all of upstate NY, you could say things get a tad bit busy here. Especially around the lunch and dinner hours, where the wait in the drive-thru can range anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes on average. All that said you'd expect this location to then have a well oiled staff that is experienced in handling the rush, however during my visit, my first visit back to a McDonald's in over 3 years, they got my order wrong. It was a little more tricky than your typical order, as I was requesting chicken sandwiches without the buns or tomatoes and extra lettuce. They got them right. I also ordered a Hot Caramel Sundae and a large fries, which they also got those right. But my fourth item on the receipt was was tripped them up, a 10 piece chicken nugget with honey. Well I got the honey, but when I arrived home I found the nuggets to be MIA. Normally I would check the bag I am handed as I'm no stranger to this kind of predicament, but when I was being handed my bag I was told by the employee "everything is in there, your sandwiches, fries, nuggets, honey, napkins and utensils." This has got to be by far the worst McDonald's in the North country above albany. Or perhaps even in the state as far as I'm concerned. The worst part is it's in a good area so you would think it can't be that bad. And no I'm not one of those people that takes to the internet when he has one bad experience. I have had probably about 25 bad experiences at this McDonald's. My order has gotten screwed up so many times that I've gotten to know the managers over the past two years and I don't know why I keep going back. Today was the last straw. Today my wife went and because they can't keep up with the line at this particular McDonald's cuz it's very busy they have started in the last few weeks making the food and leaving it under the warming light so that they can expedite the drive-thru quicker. Which leads to nasty stale $30 meals that used to cost $6. I get it. Its fast food you get what you get. but the bottom line is they're charging an arm and a leg these days and they still can't even seem to get the order correct or make it fresh. So why go at all. If you find yourself in malta ny don't go here drive across the street to Taco Bell which isn't great either. Or stop or call in an order at one of the local great restaurants around here. Absolutely awful service. Pulled in at 8pm on a Thursday night. They had all the parking lot lights off and had an attitude right from the start as we went through the drive through. We were the only car in the drive through. Then, rather than having us pay the 3 employees at the first window went into the office for 2min before one of them came back cell phone in hand to take my card. After paying we went to the 2nd window where again there were multiple employees who acted like we were an inconvenience. They gave us our drinks right away then were all on their phones staring at the order board. It took almost 10min to get our food. The one employee proceeded to take his phone and stick it in the stack of drink trays and then leaned back against the window till we got out food. Upon getting home our fry containers were less than 3/4 full and my husband's burger was hardly put together with most of the ingredients not actually on the patty or bun. As a manager in a customer service job, this was beyond unacceptable in my opinion. If they were my employees none of them would still have a job.
