Ginban Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Town of Mamaroneck

Update June 2022: Just came back and brought friends with us since we enjoyed it so much last time. We ordered the tom yam soup, rock shrimp tempura, crispy calamari, pepper tuna tataki, yellowtail jalapeño pizza, and sashimi ceviche as appetizers to share and they were all delicious. For entrees we ordered the sushi and sashimi combo, dancing dragon roll and spicy girl roll, toro sushi and eel sushi, teriyaki steak, grilled Chilean sea bass, and pad Thai and udon which we enjoyed last time. The food is really good and the quality is the same if not better than last time. The manager Thomas made sure we had a great time and checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our meal and we really did. Highly recommend!

Original review from February 2022: Very spacious and nicely furnished sushi restaurant. The sushi rolls were delicious, nicely wrapped and presented. The sashimi was also very fresh. We also ordered the pad thai and udon and they were also delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area, the atmosphere is also perfect...

our fave place for sushi (and other things) outside of manhattan...we're grateful we live close by! always excellent everything, whether sushi, sashimi, hot entrees, especially the omakase, they are very creative. the gm always takes care of us, comping different things each time. after having gone there frequently over the last 7 years, we just found out we can special order items that are not on the menu (you have to do it several days in advance) like live uni, which was excellent! they really know what they are doing. an all around great place...we love ginban! update: it's been 14 years now since we've been coming to ginban (wow!) we still love the place, and some of the updates they've made to the menu (a few new appetizers, like tuna carpaccio and fried tofu skin, love!!) just wish they'd add some more new items, something different...we'd love to try some new things. but quality and service...

I can't believe I have never left a google review for this, one of my all time favorite Sushi restaurants in Westchester. Absolutely adore Ginban, their food and their service is top notch. My daughter and I either dine in or order take out from there every other week. Tommy there, treats us like his family. Highly recommend for amazing, fresh and expertly executed sushi rolls, beautifully cut sashimi and their desserts are perfection. The atmosphere is cool and casual. I have been bringing my daughter there since she was 5 when I introduced her to the wonderful world of Sushi.

Their hot food is incredible too, so I have been told, I always get the sushi. My current favorite is the Sushi Sandwich, so yummy!

If you haven't tried them and you like sushi, you must choose Ginban as your new sushi...
