Used to be good now sloppy cook. I like their eggplant dish but when it’s not floating and loaded with oil. I used to go here often for lunch and I always get the eggplant dish, it’s perfectly sautéed not saucy but really appetizing. I ordered late and they’re we’re probably closing or rushing and gave me this stewed like eggplant lol. Also ordered chicken wings that is quickly dipped in cooking oil probably left over. I know what freshly made chicken wing look and taste like. The one they gave me is hot on the outside and cold on the inside left over and dry. I can tell from the old dried fried meat compared to a freshly fried one when you split the meat sizzles hot. The one I was given was cold. Again like I said they’re probably rushing to make a sale and close.
It would also be nice they don’t mindlessly give you unnecessary condiments and miss utensils. So I picked it up hoping I could eat it with utensils haha I’m really not having the best luck with this one.
I used to criticize how they only have frozen vegetable carrots and green peas on their fried rice. Whatever happened to authenticity of Asian food. No scallions or bean sprouts or real sliced carrots? They want to short cut the dish I see. Some people don’t notice maybe too hungry and don’t care. If they want people to keep coming back how bout offer and serve what we paid for, don’t shortcut and give out left over yesterday’s food that aren’t sold. It’s really deceitful. I’m glad I could tell the difference from now and then. Used to like this place but I feel like they no longer serve their purpose. Probably slacking. Just...
Read moreI very rarely write negative reviews. I think all restaurants have something to offer in any aspect of a dining experience. And this is not necessarily a negative review, simply a confused review. I love little kitchen and it’s been the pinnacle of great Chinese value takeout since my childhood, and what was the absolute most appealing part of it for me, was its convenience and price. You pay 10 dollars, get some chicken and rice in a white rectanglular takeout Tupperware box. It. Was. Perfect. Until today when i called to get an order of sesame chicken, all seemed well until i heard the numbers 18.37 come out of the cashiers mouth. My jaw visibly dropped as she turned around to get my food. Now I will admit, instead of the classic meal in a box, I received a white container filled with chicken, and a box of rice. Obviously bigger portions. But where’s the perfect one box meal?? You could eat it anywhere, it was cheap and Just the right portions. I’m not asking you to take two box meal off the menu, it’s perfect for two people. But the one box ten dollar meal has to stay. Unfortunate that I had to order that and frankly write this review. I still love this place and will still get my money from time to time. I just really want that all-in-one perfect cheap box back....
Read moreI ordered from this restaurant for the last 10 years - the food was always delicious and consistent. Today I called and realized the number had changed and then- they did not have my address- I asked if ownership had changed. And I was told no. The order I got proved I was right. Singapore mai fun was flavorless and light on meat and no basil- they do not do a curry version it is supposedly a Thai version. I asked for extra spicy. Also ordered moo shoo chicken. I worked in a Chinese restaurant in college. I know what mu shu looks and tastes like. This was terrible - like plain sauted cabbage with NO other ingredients and almost no chicken. The curry soup used to be light spicy and flavorful. The soup now tastes like watered down curry from a dish and it is heavy. Every dish was bad. Also even when you ask for seasoning I did not get it. I want a refund … they told me I would get a store credit which means I would have to order again….mo. I never want this...
