Yesterday I visited Donjito with 10 of my closest friends and I have to say it turned out to be a great day! It started out a little disappointing because we had a reservation for 12 and they had no record of it BUT they immediately accommodated us and they were set up and ready to seat us by 1pm which was the scheduled reservation time. That was just the start of many very accommodating gestures their manager Jonathan offered. He was there making sure we were very well taken care of. We ordered something off of the menu and our waiter told us they only had enough for one order....on a beautiful Saturday afternoon? How so? Well the owner immediately ran out to purchase what we wanted and was back fast enough to have the order on our table within 30 minutes NOW THAT’S SERVICE!!!! The accommodations and hospitality was EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! We were very well taken care of and felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant that was in fact PACKED on a beautiful afternoon while still catering to all of the guests in the restaurant. Now onto the food and drinks...DEE-LI-CIOUSSS!!!! We had several different apps shared throughout the table, ALL GOOD, we had different entrees from fajitas to Lobster to steaks to Red Snapper to Pork Chops and they were ALL delicious! BTW....we were seated outback in their very nicely decorated outdoor patio which was private and intimate, big enough for social distancing and holds a nice amount of guests at a time. My group and I were all pleasantly satisfied and we will absolutely revisit Donjito. Thank you Jonathan (Manager), the owner (unfortunately we did not get his name) who went above and beyond and our amazing waiter Doutee (I know I’m spelling that wrong, so sorry) you were all amazing! I highly...

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Don Jito’s last night, and the entire experience was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was warm and inviting great vibes, outdoor patio seating, and even a couple of social-media-worthy photo ops that made the night even more memorable. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were hands down the best I’ve ever had perfectly crisp on the outside and glazed in a sweet chili sauce that hit every note. I also had the mussels in blanco sauce, and the broth was packed with deep, rich flavor absolutely top tier. For dinner, I went with the Lobster Stir Fry, which was not only visually stunning but layered with flavor in every bite. My wife had the Honey Glazed Salmon, and it was equally impressive a beautiful crunch on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. We also tried both the Red and White Sangria refreshing, well-balanced, and delicious. Our server, Edgar, was fantastic attentive and personable. And when John (the owner) found out it was our anniversary, he surprised us with a complimentary dessert. That level of service and hospitality goes a long way. Don Jito’s hit every mark food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion. We’ll...

My initial visit to DonJito was notably positive. Upon arrival, the staff provided a warm and welcoming reception, demonstrating a clear commitment to customer satisfaction. The establishment features a well-appointed bar area situated to the right of the entrance, offering comfortable seating and multiple large televisions, making it an ideal space to enjoy beverages, appetizers, or even a full meal while viewing sporting events.

The formal dining room offers a trendy and inviting ambiance. The service was impeccable, and the menu presents a diverse selection of appetizers and entrées. As part of a group, I had the opportunity to sample several appetizers, all of which were exceptionally well-prepared. My chosen main course was also highly enjoyable. While I cannot yet identify a personal favorite dish due to this being my first visit, I certainly intend to return to DonJito in the near future. I highly recommend this establishment and plan to share further reviews following subsequent visits. Overall, my experience was excellent, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to explore more of their culinary offerings. I will provide additional reviews detailing my favorite dishes after future visits. DonJito is a commendable dining...

When you go in there no hostess so we were just standing there until the bartender came and asked us if we would like to be seated. The bartender was also the only waiter so he kept having to run to the bar and serve tables which was a bit annoying. Owners or manager not sure who they were, were more focused on a table who was there to plan a future party at the restaurant and kept checking to make sure they we being taken care of and had us sitting there passing by back and forth while we waited to place our order. We were two sec from leaving but then the waiter came and took our order. I got the Lomo Saltado which was a huge disappointment it was more like pepper steak it had no flavor of Lomo Saltado. White rice was a bit hard and tasted like it was day old rice. My partner had a bento box and her rice tasted the same, also her sushi rolls were drench in sauce that completely took away from the sushi. She also had empanadas that were super greasy and tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil. Bills was over 100 dollar and it hurt my heart having to pay something that tasted bad. It was a nice atmosphere but i will definitely not be back.

I recently dined at Dojito, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a delightful evening. Our server, Agosto, provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to accommodate our food restrictions. The manager/owner took the time to personally check in on us, ensuring our satisfaction with the food. Speaking of which, the culinary offerings were outstanding. The salad and Dojito wings Tropical Mojo were flavorful and delicious, setting the tone for a memorable meal. The highlight was the Pollo de mofongo, an absolute masterpiece. The blend of flavors was exceptional, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen. To our surprise, we received complimentary drinks and shots, a generous gesture from the attentive and hospitable manager/owner. Overall, our experience at Dojito was top-notch, thanks to the inviting ambiance, exceptional service by Agosto, delectable dishes, and the personal touch of the manager/owner. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.

I have been looking for a nice chill and enjoyable restaurant other then my regular Bronx spots. Well when I found out Donjito was doing a reopening I knew they wouldn’t disappoint!! The vibe is dope. Music was at an enjoyable level but I’m sure it can turn up if it’s what you are looking for, the drinks are BIG & STRONG! the food was WOW excellent and delicious. My waiter Gio Was attentive and engaging and approachable. I ordered the grill red snapper meal and that fish was cooked to perfection and the mash potatoes were fantastic. My husband ordered the Tuna poke bowl for the first time and now it’s his new favorite. Now let’s talk about that rice and pigeon peas (arroz con gandules) this rice taste like I was in PR at awelitas house, it was out of this world!! I give this place a 10 out of 10 and I know with the updates that continue to happen this place will continue to get better and better!! I visited from the Bronx and will be back over and over and over again!
