Lulu's Kitchenette — Restaurant in Town of Mount Pleasant

Nothing fancy here, just well executed American food. I had a chopped cheese with fries.

Their fries are crinkle cut, which usually isn't my favorite, but these were fried to perfection. There was good crisp, they were well salted. I've never had better.

My only complaint, but not enough to reduce by a star, is their house sauce was a bit aggressive on the chopped cheese. I can totally get other people liking that amount, but it was too much for me. Also I am guessing their house sauce is ketchup-based, which isn't my favorite, but I know I'm unusual in that respect. Otherwise it was good. Good bread, nice cook on the meat, good proportions of the different ingredients.

Just ordered food for dinner last night for the first time and was so impressed! While we waited for our order, they let me and my kids try their strawberry smash cake. We all loved it, so of course left with a bunch of those. Their smash burger was off the charts good. Crispy chicken sandwich and fried fish sandwich were also delicious. Kids liked the Mac and cheese. My husband had their half chicken meal with Cole slaw and sesame greens. He declared it was the best chicken he’s ever had- and I can attest he’s had A LOT of roast chicken in his day and is not an easy to please guy when it comes to food. I don’t have the best lighting so the photos doesn’t do them justice because the food is damn good* We discovered this place cause one of our coworkers kept getting lunch from Lulu’s. We finally looked them up then noticed the main thing, which is “most things be made gluten free”, is always a win for my gf and reasonable prices. Let’s just say we will try everything on the menu. We have ordered the Mac & cheese eggrolls, fried pickles, onion rings, smashburger, chicken Caesar naan, patty melt and crispy chicken sandwich.
