⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mitsuba Ramen with my family, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Nestled in the charming town of New Hartford, this cozy ramen shop offers an inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. Ambiance: As we stepped inside, we were greeted by warm lighting and a modern yet cozy decor that reflects both authenticity and comfort. The open kitchen layout allowed us to see the chefs in action, which added to the excitement of our visit. The seating was family-friendly, with a mix of booths and tables that accommodated our group perfectly. Service: The hospitality we received was outstanding. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and offering recommendations based on our preferences. They took the time to ensure our dining experience was seamless, which made us feel truly valued as guests. Food: Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the ramen! We decided to sample a variety of dishes, and every single one exceeded our expectations. - Shoyu Ramen: The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of umami. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings—tender chashu, soft-boiled egg, and fresh green onions—added a delightful texture and flavor. - Miso Ramen: This was a highlight for my kids! The miso broth was creamy and comforting, and they loved the crunchy vegetables that added a fresh crunch to each bite. - Vegetable Ramen: As a vegetarian option, this dish was a pleasant surprise. The broth was light yet packed with flavor, and the variety of seasonal vegetables made it a colorful and nutritious choice. - Appetizers: We also tried the gyoza and edamame, which were both delicious. The gyoza had a perfect crispy exterior and a savory filling that left us wanting more. Dessert: To top off our meal, we couldn’t resist trying the mochi ice cream. It was the perfect sweet ending to our culinary adventure, with a variety of flavors to choose from. Overall Experience: Dining at Mitsuba Ramen was not just a meal; it was an experience that brought my family closer together. The combination of excellent food, warm ambiance, and attentive service made for a memorable outing. We left feeling satisfied and eager to return, already planning our next visit to explore more of their menu. If you’re in New Hartford and craving authentic ramen in a family-friendly environment, I wholeheartedly recommend Mitsuba Ramen. It’s a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get!

For upstate NY, this sushi spot was such a great find and I'll be returning whenever I visit the area! The edamame, gyoza & house salad was pretty standard. The sushi I had and katsu-don my friend had was delicious and the portions for both was great. I received 2 shrimp tempura rolls when my order was a chicken tempura roll, shrimp tempura roll & dragon roll, but when I pointed it out to them they gave me my chicken tempura roll. All of us in the restaurant were even given lava rolls on the house!

This place is great! I can’t vouch for any other dishes besides their sushi, calamari, and Veggie Tempura. But these, have always on point and one of the reasons we haven’t tried sushi from Red Samurai or Sumo yet. The calamari is delicious when they bread it themselves. A couple of times we got some that looked like the cheap frozen, store bought kind, but I’m guessing they just ran out of their own. Staff have always been friendly. I highly recommend this spot for a meal!

Truly disappointed. This is my first time leaving a review ever because I feel so strongly. My cousins and I have been coming to this spot for a little over a year now and love it each time. It is one of the best bobas we have tried. Today we all came in and ordered boba teas with tapioca (black boba) about half an hour before closing. When we received the teas, the boba was extremely hard and inedible and we could not even chew through them. They must not have been boiled long enough. I don’t know if they were trying to get us in and out faster or if they were rushing to make more, but there was over half an hour before closing and we did not mind waiting. we were all upset and my cousins had to spit out the boba pieces because they were so hard. This is the first time the boba was like this, every other time it was chewy and sticky like it was supposed to be. My cousins were all too shy to say anything and didn’t feel like making a fuss, so I decided to just let someone know to see if anything could be done and even just so they wouldn't serve the bad boba to the next person. I was not expecting anything to come from it, just wanted to leave a tip as I also work as a barista. I don’t know if this woman was tired or fed up but she responded to me with such an attitude, as if she was offended. it was very hard to explain my situation to her. she kept saying it was my fault and that I “just ordered the wrong kind” (she thought i meant to order the popping boba) and she kept sighing and waving her hands at me like she was annoyed with me for saying anything. even after I explained that I know the difference between popping boba and tapioca pearls, she kept raising her voice and stressing that there were two kinds. then, she cut me off rudely and told me she would refund the drinks, but she wanted us to hand them back to her. at this point I’m annoyed because she was not taking any accountability and clearly just wanted us gone even when i made it clear that i wasn’t trying to cause trouble, and she didn’t even offer to remake them. so we were just supposed to walk away with no drink? she should have at least offered to refund us the price of the boba and just charge us for plain teas because we were drinking the liquid without the boba anyways. As a drink shop worker, i just feel like being close to the end of the day is no excuse for the way that was handled. no effort was made to get me the product at the right quality that i paid for, only a refund and to be shooed away. we did not get the refund by the way, because i didn’t want to deal with the difficult lady any longer. what was a tradition for my cousins and me when i visit from out of town will sadly not...

Having lived in Los Angeles for over a decade, I no longer fear sushi joints that are situated inside mall parking lots. And in smaller towns, they often ONLY exist in mall parking lots. That being said, I don't get my hopes up when it comes to quality of fish or innovation when it comes to culinary creation. Well, Mitsuba threw me a curve ball. Their fish was surprisingly fresh, their dishes were inventive and their flavor combinations were on point. The eggplant appetizer, for instance, was not only tasty, it was served in a way I hadn't seen before. I'd come back just for that! The cucumber wrapped sushi rolls are always a hit for me, but these kicked it up a notch with some nicely unexpected ingredients. Couple all that with nice service and a refreshingly mild cup of tea at the end of the meal and I'm a happy man. My one quibble - maybe even outright complaint - was that the deserts were terrible. Straight up bad. The vanilla, chocolate and banana (at least we ordered banana - not sure what we got) were all doughy, greasy, tasteless messes. Overall, a delightful meal... just...
