My husband and I visited on 10/18/15 between the hours of 3-4. I've been a Quality Assurance Trainer for years, and this was absolutely the worst experience I've had yet.My husband ordered the Fresh Mex bowl, and I ordered the Triple dipper with eggrolls, boneless wings and 2 mini burgers. Our waitress was Andrea (I believe is her name as she never said it), she has a tattoo sleeve on her right arm, who was covering the bar tables around 3-4pm. It took her over 5 minutes to greet us. When she did, she asked what we wanted to drink. She wasn't very friendly. She had a frown on her face the whole time. She brought our drinks back, and didn't ask to take our order. We waited another 10 minutes for her to return to take our order. She was walking by, and I was looking at her, which is the only reason she stopped. She said, "Oh, are you ready to order?" We ordered. I said, thank you. She said nothing. When the customer is more polite than the server, there is a problem. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food to come out. In the meantime, I finished my drink. I put the empty cup on the end of the table for 15 mins, she never returned to fill it up. I tried to use the tablet refill option, but it stated that she never rang up our drinks, so I couldn't do the automated refill. Why have the option then? Our food finally comes out.....My husbands food was cold and didn't look like the picture, at all. It was a mess, thrown into a bowl. The avocado was rock hard. She throws my plate on the table and says we just ran out of eggrolls. What do you want? I said, eggrolls, that was the reason I ordered the Triple Dipper. She says, we just ran out. Never did she apologize. She hands me a menu after I say that I need to look at what I'd like because I don't want this. She hands me the menu with an attitude and walks away. They were having a special because of the football game for the appetizers. If they are going to have a special like that, they should have the stock to cover it and it wasn't even 4pm yet. Not proper restaurant planning. My husband goes to ask for a manager. While he is away waiting almost 5 minutes for her to come out. While he was up front waiting, I saw the waitress come out from the back, who she probably just talked to the host, and heard that we wanted a manager. She cleaned a table near mine, and I could read her lips while she was doing it. She said t herself outloud, I don't care. I don't f**king care. The waitress comes over to me to ask what I want. I said that we just want to leave, and I am willing to pay for the drinks that we drank. She asked, is it just the food, that makes you want to leave? I said, no honestly, its your service and the food. You were not polite from the start, you never apologized for the missing eggrolls, and my husbands food is cold and not even close to what he ordered. She laughed and walked away. I got up, and I went to get the manager. I rounded the corner, and the manager was standing there at the register. I asked if she was the manager, and she said yes. She did not introduce herself, so I don't know her name. I told her that my husband has been waiting for almost 5 minutes to speak with you. She said that she was comping our check prior to coming out. I told her everything that I have stated here. She said that the waitress laughing at me was not okay. She comp'd out drinks. I asked for a receipt because I want to review this restaurant and go higher. Never did she apologize for the service. Other than $5 worth of soda, did she offer to do anything for us. How is that acceptable? Chili's in Newburgh wasted 45 minutes of my day. I think 45 minutes is worth...
Read moreOn sept 19, 2020, my family and friends decided to dine in at Chillis restaurant located at 1274 NY-300, Newburgh, Ny 12550. There was seven of us including three minor children. We were seated at a table for six but they grabbed an additional chair to make it a table for seven. We waited for over 15 minutes in a restaurant that was less than 1/3 full and when Our waiter arrived he was very dismissive. We ordered our drinks which took another 10 minutes to arrive then we placed our orders. After waiting an hour for our food to arrive I complained to the waiter who is named Jerry and became very nasty. He told me “what do you expect it’s a Saturday night” and I replied “yes but you guys are less than 1/3 full”! I then asked for a different waiter. Jerry walked off and shouted “how rude to me and my family”. I asked for a manager and Dylan came over. I explained my concerns to Dylan and he Replaced our waiter. Our new waiter came and got us refills on our drinks and then the food started to come out. However we noticed that two of the children’s meals and never come out and when we asked Dylan where the food was he then asked the previous waiter, Jerry to bring out the children’s food out. I was absolutely flabbergasted that Dylan would have the same waiter that we complained about bring food out to our children. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant in my life thus far. The unprofessionalism at this location was deplorable. Dylan should not have served as a manager as he was smirking and enjoying the fact that my family was devastated that we would be disrespected a second time by the same waiter we asked to be changed. This location requires a total revamping of leadership and they need a customer service training on what’s appropriate and not. If you see this post please do not take your family there as it is not worth your time...
Read moreWe had dinner around the six o'clock hour. We were seated right away. The restaurant was fairly empty at the time with there being people in the bar area and a hand full of tables in the restaurant area. Our waiter was good, but overly enthusiastic. He came for our order three times before we could even actually finish choosing our entree's. He was too attentive at first with diner, then not around shortly after when we actually needed something. He wasn't bad, more like Okay. The food was again, okay. Not bad, but average at best. Don't get me wrong, we ate our dinners without complaint. But it also was nothing to rave about. Now the bad part. This place is extremely loud considering there were only a few tables. There is no buffer between the restaurant and the bar. And the dozen people that were in the bar were pretty loud. Going by the volume with small amount of people in the restaurant. I cannot image how unacceptably loud it might be when more crowded. Or even just the bar. Then there was the sun. As the sun starting setting (October 2022), the sun just blasted through the unshaded windows directed at pretty much every table in the restaurant, for a half hour or so before the sun set. Maybe longer since it was like that when we were seated. I looked around and pretty much every table had the same problem. Unfortunately, I had the side that faced the sun. As such, I could see nothing and had to try little tricks to shade my face. The place has no shades, so there's nowhere to hide. So avoid dusk on a sunny day. All in all, the food was Okay. The atmosphere was for the most part, friendly. The staff seemed decent. The sun is probably only an issue at dusk. And if you like loud environments, you may be comfortable at...
