Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I placed an order through Doordash and some miscommunication happened that lead to someone else getting my order [not the driver assigned] and it not being delivered. Even though the order said it was still at the store, it was not. I received a call from a rep at this location explaining the situation then an immediate offer to the solution. After not even a minute, I received another call from the manager [Terri] who apologized profusely for the inconvenience and offered to personally drop a fresh order off to me. She even called back to verify that my order was correct to avoid any further inconvenience.

I’ve had many mistakes with previous DoorDash orders at other restaurants and this is the first time that the restaurant has been proactive and actually went above and beyond to fix the situation. Usually, they just report it to DoorDash and cancel the order. I am so thrilled that this location really took the time to do the right thing for their customer, even when it wasn’t a direct customer of theirs. On 8/18 around 7ish I was greeted by Yessania F which was not very happy to see me I mentioned I had a reward I like to redeem on the app but I don’t know how to get it working, she just said copy and paste on the app and walked away she came back and asked me “if I figured it out yet” which I reply but notice she didn’t even wait to hear my respond because she walked away while I was talking, after I got the app working she took my order. My smoothie was 80% ice and 20% juice she didn’t even blend it well because it was chunks of ice on my cup, maybe she needs better training or a job where she doesn’t ruin...

I just don't know with todays youths. I'm only 34 and I try to think back, was I that clueless? Maybe I was clueless of the fact that I was clueless! HA! The food is what you should expect from a fast food wrap/ smoothie joint. I enjoyed my smoothie more then the wrap but what I really enjoyed wasn't of food or drink. The blank look on this girls face that helped me was priceless. I could help but start to laugh (she must have though I was crazy).
