We recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was a delightful experience. Having been to many Asian establishments, we were eager to try this location, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant has plenty of parking spaces conveniently located at the front, making it easily accessible. We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, and the atmosphere was quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. The service was very good. The staff was attentive, particularly the gentleman refilling our water glasses. He never left them empty, ensuring we were always well taken care of. Our food arrived quickly, which added to the overall positive experience. However, the customer service could be a little better. When we walked in, nobody greeted us at the door; instead, they waved us over from a distance. Similarly, when we were leaving, nobody said goodbye or invited us to return. Considering the restaurant was not busy during our visit, the staff could have been more focused on each table, which would have made the experience even better. While we love ramen and noticed they had a great option to build your own ramen, we decided to try something different this time. We ordered the salmon teriyaki bento box, seaweed salad with beef short ribs, and chicken karaage donburi with fried rice. Each dish was delicious, perfectly prepared, and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. The menu included a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a good selection of teas. The prices were affordable and very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and experience. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 4.5 out of 5 stars. This is a great spot for a relaxed lunch with colleagues or a casual meet-up with friends. The friendly service, great food, inviting atmosphere, and reasonable pricing make it a place I recommend if you like Japanese cuisine. With a little improvement in customer service, it could easily become a...
Read moreYayoi Ramen has quickly become a contender for top ramen in the area, and for good reason! Their pork buns are truly exceptional – the perfect balance of fluffy bun and savory, tender pork. Seriously, don't miss out on these. The tonkotsu ramen was another highlight. The broth was rich and creamy, coating the perfectly cooked noodles. It's a deeply satisfying and flavorful bowl that hits all the right notes. While most of our experience was fantastic, the stir-fry ramen was a bit of a letdown. Unfortunately, the noodles seemed overcooked, resulting in a somewhat mushy texture, and it was also noticeably greasy. This was the only dish that didn't quite live up to the high standards set by the rest of the meal. Despite this one misstep, the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant itself boasts a clean and pleasant atmosphere, making for a comfortable dining experience. Overall, Yayoi Ramen offers a lot to love, especially their incredible pork buns and delicious tonkotsu ramen. While the stir-fry ramen needs some attention, the excellent service and inviting atmosphere ensure that I will definitely be coming back to explore more...
Read moreI've been here 4 times because I was really excited for the opening and wanted to give them a fair shot. Twice for indoor dining, once for takeout, and once just for bubble tea. For indoor dining, I've built my own ramen and had the seafood ramen. Both times they've been undercooked. The food comes out very quickly, but it could use more time, and the wait would be worth it. The seafood is undercooked and not seasoned at all. It's noticeable that they aren't cooked in the broth, but boiled separately and thrown in at the end. My BYOR had an ingredient missing, but the broth was alright. I liked the option to add black garlic, it's a favorite of mine. For takeout, I had the tempura don buri bowl. The tempura shrimp was good, but the vegetables were very oily. The portions are a decent size for the price, both takeout and dine-in. For bubble tea, I had the matcha milk tea with oat milk and tapioca pearls, and it was incredibly bitter with no sweetness to it. I had to pour some of it out, add more milk, and add sweetener for it to be drinkable. For the price, very disappointing. Overall, there are much better ramen and bubble tea spots on Long Island, even if the dishes...
