Moved to Bethpage recently went to Ciminellis after recovering from Covid for the first time. I stopped in to buy some fried dough (excuse me cuz I don’t remember the name of what you guys here in LI call it, but so delish!) for myself and neighbor. The owner was there and I asked if he was able to make me a specific role w garlic, ALOT of garlic because I’ve heard the allicin in garlic has anti-oxidant properties, that would help with the cough that remained from Covid.
He was so kind - he made me this special order with such care and loaded it up with garlic! It was wonderful!! All the employees were so kind and friendly.
From the street front you would think it’s much smaller of a place than it is! It is deceiving because when you walk in, there is a dining area, but they also have a nice brand new dining room in the back as well as outside dining in a cute little garden area.
I learned that they have entertainment as well on Fridays!
Definitely going to have to check it out and will definitely be back for their food. It was beyond amazing.!!!!
Nice to find such a place (been in business for 30 years!! I heard!!!) when you move to a new town with great people and great food! Definitely worth...
Read moreWent to Ciminelli's Pizza & Restaurant in Bethpage for a local Valentines Dinner last night and it was amazing!
The table was set up and restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holiday! The bread/garlic sticks they give to start are fresh out of the oven warm and so delicious. We got a small salad and mini rice balls for appetizers. Baked cheese ravioli (one with tomato and one with vodka sauce) for the main course. Chocolate lava cake and hot tea to end the night.
The wait staff was extremely attentive. I think it was possibly the owner there (maybe a manager/higher up) who provided all the women in the restaurant with a rose for Valentines day, which was totally unexpected and so nice. He also gave us a comp after dinner drink with dessert! There was no rushing us at all to finish up and was a nice relaxing environment. Everything was amazing (some food we devoured before I could take a picture lol). Great local spot,...
Read moreMe and my wife have been going here for food and pizza for the last 30 years. We went for pizza tonight she ordered to regular slices I had two ala vodka slices when she came home with pizza (we live two blocks away) it was already cold. My wife's cheese look funny like someone took a slab of cheese and put it on top to melt. She ate that slice and before she could finish it she was violently throwing up. We called to let them know what happened and that the cheese might be bad. My wife explained to the person who answered the phone how long we have been going there and he didn't care. He told my wife sorry you got sick. He never offered to reimburse her for the food or offered free slices next time we come in. Sad that they treat a 30 year customer like that. We will be finding a new place to go to now. I guess everything has to...
