This was the first time I have ever been accused of theft of services when my item was paid up to date. I owed maybe 30$ not to mention it was paid off in weeks. Is it because I'm chronically ill and don't want to lose their possession? Well I'm on a life saving medication with massive side effects one being a intense migraine under the least amount of stress so instead of standing in my doorway as these men called me a thief mind you I ran for the door bad hiding huh? Now they took the only thing that kept me in touch with the world being I'm supposed to be quiet and stress-free. I guess that's why I gave him the computer that was almost paid off all the while telling me he was just here to see if I was alright. Yet he took my computer doesn't that say something if he really didn't want to he wouldn't have taken it from me in the first place leaving me crying and suicidal. Could it get any sicker? Next day I'm editing yesterday's. Now my sister informed me she's not paying for cable anymore and I have to buy a stick for a computer that they confiscated yesterday. And again the TWO MEN standing in my doorway claiming it was simply a courtesy call I told them I was paying for it Monday. He should have just said ok just making sure you're alright NO IT WAS YOU HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE MANAGER WANTS TO DO. To me that's saying to me if you don't give the money right now we're taking it, right or wrong. If they we're there to " make sure you were ok" there would never had been a problem as I told them Monday. But they had orders when they came here or there never would have been a phone call to the office on my porch withthe manager unless they weren't there just checking at all they were there to take that machine unless I gave them money, cause he even said " don't you have 20$?". So if I live through this it is no thanks to RAC or their henchmen. Oh btw people but don't laugh I just bought and paid for a 1,000$ bed before the computer so no I don't think they have courteous service. Also they all knew...
Read moreI usually like Rent A Center, but not this location. The sales manager doesn't know his head from a hole in the ground. I ordered a specialty item online and spoke with someone on the following Monday. I was told my item had been ordered and it should be in in 6-8 weeks. A week after this the sales manager calls wanting to make sure I still wanted the item before he ordered it. I told him it was supposed to have been ordered already and who I'd spoken with. After being on hold for a longtime I was told it had been ordered and not to worry about it. A week and a half later the same thing happened again! He didn't even recall the first interaction with me. Now 2 months later my item is in, I've checked online, nobody has bothered to call me and let me know. RAC may be a good company, but this location stinks. I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreOverall, the experience I have with the people and items I buy from you have been exceptional. The one thing I do not like is the phone calls all the time for advertising. I might as well not put my payments on auto-pay I am called with promotion offers all the time, including when I am at work, even though I have stated several times I only rent one thing at a time. One key point of renting to own is also being responsible and not renting more than what you can afford now. When you tell them this, that should stop the phone calls, but it does not. I had to block the store from calling me because it was getting so bad with the soliciting, this is also what has prevented me from renting more products. I bought two laptops from rentacenter and my dishwasher, which I did purchase early to...
