"The Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger Experience: Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger Review"
I recently had the pleasure of trying the Bacon Cheeseburger from Five Guys and I must say, it was a culinary adventure! The burger patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of char. The bacon was crispy and added a smoky flavor to the burger, while the melted cheese was gooey and added a richness that was unmatched.
The combination of toppings was spot on, with the mayo, ketchup, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, grilled mushrooms, and grilled onions all coming together to create a symphony of flavors. The grilled mushrooms added an earthy umami flavor, while the grilled onions added a sweetness that was balanced out by the spicy jalapeno peppers.
The bun was soft and held up well, even with all the toppings. The burger was substantial and filling, but not too heavy, and the toppings were evenly distributed, ensuring that every bite was just as good as the last.
Overall, I was extremely impressed with the Bacon Cheeseburger from Five Guys and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious, hearty, and well-crafted burger.
In addition to the burger, I also tried Five Guys famous Cajun Fries. These fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a spicy kick from the Cajun seasoning. The seasoning was well balanced, not overpowering the natural potato flavor, and the fries were perfectly seasoned throughout.
I was also impressed with the generous serving size, as the fries were piled high in the paper bag. I couldn't help but munch on them as I enjoyed my burger, and they paired perfectly with the burger's toppings.
Overall, the Cajun Fries were a great addition to my meal and added another layer of flavor and texture. I would definitely order them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone who loves fries with a little extra kick.
In conclusion, my experience at Five Guys was fantastic, with both the Bacon Cheeseburger and Cajun Fries earning my highest recommendation. If you're looking for a great burger and fries in Central Wisconsin, be sure to check out Five Guys in Rib...
Read moreIt was our first time at this location after first trying 5 Guys once in bigger cities 1-2 years ago. My husband's first and only prior experience with 5G was in Minneapolis, MN while mine was in Los Angelos, CA. We both agreed it was delicious and that service was great with our first experiences, so naturally, we were excited when we found out 5G was coming to Wausau! We waited a month after opening to avoid the crowds and when we arrived, we had forgotten the process of how to order. We assumed it was Subway style where you tell them what toppings you want while they're making it. After ordering and while waiting in line, we realized we were supposed to inform the front cashier what toppings we wanted when first ordering. I went back and let her know and she had no clue what to do. After a few minutes she told me to just let the cooks know what I want when I reached them in line. Well, I saw they were making orders immediatley so I stopped another employee to ask her. She took down my toppings and gave them to the cooks. She was great with thinking quickly but this made me think how the front cashier needs more training. Knowing this location was only a month old and it being the only one in this small city, she should have known or at least been trained to ask all customers "is this your first time here/have you been here before?" Or when realizing we ordered no toppings or condiments, ask, "no toppings?" We get asked that at other establishments that have been around for years, like Applebees, Milwaukee Burger, and Red Robins. It wasn't a big deal though as we realize it's still new to the area. After getting our orders, however, we were not impressed. Not very tasty as what we remembered. The fries were over salted as well. Will give it another shot in the future but no longer have that excitement and craving for 5G...
Read moreMy daughter and I went here before we went home, it was listed as a "Fast Food place"...what a joke!!! 1st & last time eating at "Five Guys" for us. We placed our order & paid. There was no customers currently. We saw no workers, started looking at the menu, eventually a worker came out she talked but didn't take our actual order, some older guy came and did. She started to prepare our food, another guy around the age of her started to prepare our food. Before you get your food they ask for tips on and off the card reader. No kids menu.
Went to get our drinks... One machine is broke, that's minor though.
Went to get a little cup of ketchup after 4 partial pumps it was completely empty.
There was hardly any straws, 8-11 more after our 2 were taken.
0 napkins in the napkin container. I told 1 of them when they bagged our food. He said "there are napkins in the bag." I said "ok but your thing is completely empty."
There was not even 10 tables and half of them were still dirty with dried food, crumbs and food chunks. I think it was 8 tables. The corner one looked like instead of sweeping it up they just shoved it under 1 table all day. A bunch of fries and trash into a big pile.
While we ate a FOURTH employee, another younger guy, comes out and talks with them.
FOUR PEOPLE! No excuse for it to be that sloppy. 2 seperate female customers did pickup and left. The 1st came back within 10 minutes and they must have forgot her ketchup. She went to put some in a cup. The pumper was still empty! He gave her some packets when she said it was empty.
They ask for a tip beforehand. Can eat whatever they make on break. Making $18+ an hour?! One of the worst places EVER!! One & done....
