Terrible, Terrible, Terrible, if I could give it zero stars I would. Tonight I ordered food to be delivered to me by Door Dash and when it arrived it was totally wrong. So I called them up and informed them that the order was wrong and the girl who had absolutely zero customer service tells me if I had a problem with my order I had to contact Door Dash directly if there was an issue and that there was nothing she could do for me. Now why in God's name would I contact Door Dash about the quality of my food or if this place gave me the wrong food! Should I complain to UPS or the post office if Amazon sends me the wrong item? So if I put in the notes on the order page that I was allergic to something is it Door Dashes responsibility to make sure whatever it is I'm allergic to is not included in my food? Let's talk about the food now. Probably the worst diner food I ever had no wonder they had to shut the doors to this place a while back! The chicken soup tasted like hot water with boiled chicken in it and zero taste. The lentil soup was just as bad. The chili looked like it came out of a can. My dogs food looked better. The meatloaf looked like Spam and was bland and the gravy was just as bad. One of my meals was supposed to have regular fries and one sweet potato fries. Both came with sweet potato fries. All in all it totally sucked and when I contacted them about the fries I get sorry call Door Dash. If you are in Mamaroneck do yourself a favor do not even waste your time with this place cause they suck. The food is terrible and the customer service is just as bad. Go to the Nautilus Diner you won't be disappointed and the food is great and service is amazing! I can honestly say I will never order from this place again or ever step foot into it! Update on this place, my original review was over a month ago and as of today December 30, 2019 I have yet to hear from them. I left the same review on their website left my email and phone number too and zero response. I guess that just shows you how much this place cares about their customers or the quality of food or service they provide. Mamaroneck Diner & Pizza you had your chance to correct this or at least try to correct it but I guess you feel the customer is wrong and you are right! The Diner was nice. The waiters were nice. Since its winter time i like how they have coat hanger on the side of the seat that way you hang it and it doesn’t take up space for you. This place is 24 hours which is awesome! Their fries were Great! Better than McDonalds fries 😂. I am vegetarian and i had the vegetarian California wrap which comes with cheese, avocado, lettuce tomato, and Ham... so i asked the waiter if they can remove the ham which he did. I would of loved for the wrap to taste better... it was simple. It could have been my fault because i didn’t ask for any sauce. Probably for someone who orders it with ham it would have more flavor. To be honest i really look forward to go again. A friend told me that way more people go on the weekends. But i would love to return to this place like for a date night, real late... seems like a very nice spot to stay and talk for hours and enjoy company. The price for my wrap which comes with french fries, and cole slaw and pickle was about $12.00 or so. Maybe price could be toned down a little ... i looked over at the sides and just french fries alone was like $5.50 and if i remember it right hot water cost $1 and change... that should be given free in my opinion. So, yes aside from all this i would like to return to this place but what calls me back is that its 24 hours and the atmosphere/environment. The restroom in a restaurant is vey important for me and this one i can say was clean, i feel thats a huge plus. There is parking, which i dont think is too big of a parking... i guess on busy days its okay to park in the street. I really want to give the Mamaroneck Diner 5 stars, but I can't. They're walking distance from my house so it's easy to go there to eat. They deliver also. Food preparation is very inconsistent. Breakfast is the safest bet to order, fewer mistakes. On some visits (or deliveries) the wrong meal is brought to the table or delivered to the house or they forget a couple of items. I've called them back after an incorrect order and have to demand they fix it or bring the correct thing. Today the eggs were overcooked (They were ordered over easy and were fried solid with lacy whites). They offer five or six kinds of bread for toast with breakfast. They never bring the right kind of toast, ever. I've ordered a corn beef sandwich many times. Some times it's absolutely perfect, a couple of times the meat has been cooked to death on the flat top; with prices the way they are this is unacceptable. The servers are very nice and patient. They make fewer mistakes when it's busy. There is plenty of free parking. Check it out...
