Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

I worked for Applebees before and even though I was mistreated when I worked there I like the food and go when I have a chance. I just came to the location because of work and haven’t been to this location before so I wanted to try it. I like to sit at the bar and it was the best decision. I normally don’t do the review thing unless its really deserved! The girl Jessica at the bar on 10/28/23 was absolutely amazing! From working for the company I know how hectic it gets and customers don’t understand but I’m a lot more patient with new servers or workers. But Jessica should either be a manager or working somewhere else! They do not know how great of a employee they have there. My food came out exactly how I wanted even though I try to make sure it’s not too annoying when I order. I had a rough week so I had some beers and was talking to Jessica. I loved how she had a conversation with me but also was multi tasking with her other customers and was helping her severs making her their drinks and kept a smile on her face and gave great customer service to me and the other customers that I heard knew her and came back on the nights she was working! Again I worked for Applebees and been to a good amount of them on Long Island but I was amazed at the worker you have at your location so when I got home I wanted to make sure I left a review mostly for Jessica and the service she gave me earlier tonight! I really hope corporate will see this and hopefully read this full review and give her something either a raise or acknowledgment because they don’t realize who they have working there for their business that will bring back a lot of customers!! Jessica if you see this keep doing your thing! I know most customers won’t tip or acknowledge the little things you do for your coworkers or job but I notice a lot and wanted to try and make sure you hopefully get recognized! Applebees gained a customer for the Commack location during your shifts because you’re the exact person I want serving...

Me and my wife came for dinner and our waitress “Karen” was obviously just very sad/Depressing, she just didn’t even acknowledge us as a paying customer her tone was just disrespectful such as when we were speaking/Ordering our food to her she was looking down at the floor not even looking at myself or my wife which I found rather strange, Also when I asked her to repeat our order she just walked away from me and when I told her she walked away from me while I was still speaking she didn’t even apologize or seemed apologetic, But Most of all what made me shocked, She was laughing with other customers and she apologized to the table next to us because their food was cold.. I don’t know what to make out of that to be honest me and my wife didn’t want to be praised or whatever, we just wanted to be treated like normal humans.. next time I’ll just go to the Applebee’s in Melville Hopefully we don’t get...

I came in here with a group of friends, like we do almost every night after work. We kindly asked DINORA for a booth, like we always get. She rudely told me she didn’t have a booth available, while all the booths seemed available. i then proceeded to ask her to please try to get us a booth. She then rudely replied that the section was closed for the night. We were going to leave but we stayed since Apple bees after work has become like a ritual to us. As we waited for our food another group of people walked in and DINORA automatically took them to a booth, without asking any questions. Her treatment was very unprofessional, i have never been denied a booth at any Apple bees since that’s part of the reason we go to Apple bees.
