We are the traveling Motor Coach Gourmets. We frequent restaurants in many different cities and review them. Our ratings are as fair as we can make them as our reviews and yours can also impact a business owner. If we canât give a 4 or 5 star review, or we donât care for the service or food, we hold our review and give the place in question a 2nd and 3rd try. If after that, still not to our liking, then we rate the establishment.
We had a very enjoyable meal here. Tracy ordered the chicken Parmigiana. I ordered the shrimp fra Divola. Tracyâs meal was very good. My meal was excellent. The shrimp were large, I think there were 8 of them. I ordered it with Penne which was a little soft as I like it al dente. I didnât mention this to the waitress so I wonât fault them. The sauce was very good.
Overall a very nice meal. I got a slice of pizza to go as I wanted to try it as we miss NY pizza. I ate it the next day and it was pretty good. Not the best but a lot better than the best pizza we have in Florida!
You canât go wrong here for a good meal and the prices are...
Read moreI ordered an eggplant parm hero for delivery. The sandwich was a wall of eggplant with virtually no sauce or cheese. There was a single strip of cheese on the very top and when they put the lid on the to go container, the cheese got pressed against it so when I took the top off ALL the cheese stayed attached to the lid. It might not have been an issue if there was more cheese but it was such a small amount it left me with no mozzarella on my Parmesan hero at all. The sauce was a similar situation. A small amount poured on the top. Even the bread was dry and white. There were endless layers of breaded eggplant with not a drop of sauce between them. The sandwich was so dry and plain it was inedible. Very disappointing, especially because if it actually had sauce and cheese on it the way a Parmesan hero should, it would have been...
Read moreWe ordered from La Capriocciosa for delivery on a Saturday evening post-wineries. The food was very delicious, especially the pizza and mozzarella sticks. I recommend the pepperoni and the chicken parm pizzas for sure! There are only 2 reasons for 3 stars instead of 5: first, the french fries ordered did not travel well, but I think that was due to the second reason: our driver was delayed in arriving by almost 45 minutes. We were staying at a VRBO home in Greenport, just 5 minutes from La Capricciosa (I saw it earlier that morning when parking for bagels), so I knew it was very close, and the house was very easy to find with GPS/Google Maps/Waze. So, I was disappointed in the delay and the need to call the restaurant, as well as having to go out and look for my driver up and down the...
