Sterlington Deli — Restaurant in Town of Southold

So I stopped in for a Sandwich and needed a minute to look at the menu. Place wasn't busy. After 2 or 3 mins, I made up my mind. I asked for a Hero sandwich. Which led to a discussion about a Kaiser Roll or a Long Roll. The young girl perhaps never heard of a "Long" roll or "Hero" roll, as she kept saying "Kaiser" roll. I ordered a RB w Swiss. Mayo. L&T. And I like Cole Slaw on mine. Last was just S&P. I bought a Snapple as well. $21.75. No cheese (No Swiss) and No Mayo. She put the Cole Slaw which wasn't Creamy like; more "Vinegary" on the dry bread. Then the L&T and topped it with a nice portion of Roast Beef. The sandwich was less than. And it was pricey. And during the ordering process, I had asked if she wanted to write my order down, but she assured me that wasn't a problem. Little does she know, but I've worked as a Professional Chef for over 45 years. I didn't get what...

I had a very disappointing experience at Sterlington Deli. I placed an order with the owner, Karen, for chicken fingers and fries along with a sandwich. She told me it could be done, so I paid by credit card. When my food was ready, what I received was completely different — a chicken cutlet chopped up over fries, not what I ordered.

When I pointed this out, Karen shrugged and said “that’s what they offer,” even though it’s not what I requested or was charged for. I explained that I didn’t want the incorrect order and reminded her I paid by card. She then told me “there’s nothing she can do,” and instead of offering a proper refund, she threw $13 at me. The whole situation was handled with rudeness and zero accountability.

I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for decent customer service or...

Microwaved chicken to reheat, although it indicates fried...yeah fried at some point, just not when you place your order.So as you can imagine, I got a soggy dried out once upon a time piece of fried chicken cutlet.one guy who looks like he may be the owner or possibly manager, touched food with no gloves,rite after handling cash...and did it with a smile on his face...🤦🏼‍♂️..maybe its just me that has a problem with this kinda stuff because it seems like this is a place the people in long island enjoys to visit... Moral of the story, I wish I did not order the chicken cutlet nor spend 20 plus dollars at this location.. but I just got off the ferry and it was my 1st and last time eating here..🤷🏼‍♂️ Best part of my meal was Joe's PINK...
