Great place for a family day of roller skating, however, they should establish rules and enforce them. On a slow day, this place is great. On a busy day, it's dangerous on the skating floor for reasons other than skates. Too many people in regular shoes that are standing completely still, "walking" their kids around or taking photos/videos and blocking skaters on the floor (despite the no cell phone sign that nobody enforces). Too often these "photographers" step backward into a crowd of skaters to capture a good shot, forgetting that they're on a skate rink, not paying attention to the oncoming traffic of skaters that they just carelessly stepped into causing a 5 man pile up to take place. That person wearing shoes & standing still is like a broken down car, at 1:00pm in the middle lane on the LIE. In addition, management should explain to small children & the parents of the children that it's DANGEROUS (not just discourteous) to cut people off or skate in the opposite direction of the rest of the skaters. I watched so many agile & skilled little skaters cut off much older less agile adults & cause serious injury that was completely avoidable. This is a place for fun/recreation, learning to skate & enjoying family & friends, not roller hockey practice. I think this place has great potential if they consider the safety of their guests & not just hang a sign that states, "Skate at your own risk." The snack bar is great. The bathrooms are immaculate. The skate rentals & cost to skate for the day, are reasonably priced. The staff is very nice. Other than their extreme lack of safety concerns, it's a great...
Read moreWe had so much fun here!! Most of us had never roller skated before, and we all finished the night being able to skate on our own without using banisters. All of the staff was very welcoming and accommodating, even helping out people who weren't sure how to get started. Our youngest daughter pointed to one instructor and said "She's my friend."
Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful time. We accidentally left our son's life vest there, and they rushed to get it back to us the next morning (outside of their working hours), before we needed to sail off back home. We can't wait to return soon and...
Read moreI brought my nieces and nephew here on a rainy day. They had such a great time. It was clean, organized, not crowded, and the rink was large. What a wonderful idea to transform this hall into a skating rink for the community. We drove 50 minutes to get here but well worth it. This is such an excellent example of using buildings in the community for dual purposes. A great place for...
