We walked in here today and was greeted right away by our server and who I think was the owner. They both seemed a little frazzled about the help in the place and told us that they only had two cooks but they would try their best to accommodate everyone in the place. We did wait a little for our food but our server was amazing in making sure we knew what we wanted and even gave us some more water and some pickles while we waited for our food. When the food came it was amazing! My wife’s salad was fresh with all fresh ingredients, my sandwich was made perfect and neat for a double decker. What I liked most was the quality of service. My two girls both ordered the same dish. They both never finish their meals when we go out to eat. Our waitress recommended we split the dish as it was a lot of food. She was right and it was the perfect amount for both our girls to eat. It’s the first time they both cleaned their plates. The food was amazing and I highly recommend eating here. The staff, although short is making every attempt to make their...
Read moreFrom previous visits over the years I had remembered Front Street to be less than stellar and the trend continued this evening. From the moment we entered the restaurant for dinner we were in for a disappointing night. It was completely empty at peak dinner hour! As assumed, it underwhelmed in spectacular fashion. From the waitress and bartender not knowing what a dry Mahattan was and having to ask three times how to prepare it, from the waitress forgetting to bring out the side salad that was included with the inedible chicken chardonnay that looked more like just a big bowl of cream sauce with bits of pasta to the overcooked mushroom swiss burger w/ bbq sauce that came out with no bbq sauce. The highest rated meal was by my son which was a hotdog :/. We weren’t even tempted to look at a dessert menu and couldn’t wait to get the heck out. I think it tonight will be my final farewell to...
Read moreWent here on a Tuesday night in October. The place was supposed to be open until 8 Pm. We arrived at 6:30 and my husband, who is very interested in history was looking at photos on the walls since the place IS historical. Without facing him at all a gentleman, who we presume could have been the bartender (hopefully not the owner since that means he cared even less) barked at him “We’re closed!” Confused because of the posted hours hubby looked at his watch and again got barked at, “Don’t bother to look at your watch, we’re closed!” If the place wanted to close early they could have posted a sign or been more polite about telling us so! We have been coming to the area for over thirty years and have never been treated so shabbily! It took us a while to even send this in but we had to because it did upset us. Went to the bbq place next door afterwards and were treated a...
