Just gorgeous. Incredible views of the marina and Shelter Island, it's a very well maintained large piece of waterside land in the middle of Greenport Village. The Heartbeat of the village can be felt throughout the year by spending a few minutes in the park. Foggy mornings create a Film Noir vibe to the waterfront. Less people and cups of coffee in hand speaks to the home bodies who are nestled on the couch or sleeping in. The docks are wearing out, water spigots corroded and broken and I heard there were many electrical issues. The head dock master knows what he is doing but the young woman who answers the phone is snotty, rigid and unaccommodating -- common sense requests are met with a strict "NO" without explanation -- I had two such requests, including asking to stay till 11:15 AM (15 minutes past checkout) on Sunday when no boats were coming in and she demanded I pay the 5 hour tie-up charge since I was departing 15 minutes late -- just...
