The Weathered Barn — Local services in Town of Southold

This is a small boutique store that features the work of local artists and photographers. They offer small North Fork treasures for sale such as beach shells, wooden signs, glassware, accent towels, homemade candles, diffusers, handmade soaps, different scented body wash and oils, small plants (or botanicals), and natural yarn. My favorite items are the hand painted wooden signs of Long Island and the North Fork. They can also make custom signs to order. Most of their products are hand made locally and their prices reflect that. I like that they partner with local artists to display and sell their work or products. This is a good store to pick up a souvenir, keepsake or memento of your visit to the North Fork. You can expect high quality (expensive) items. I would not recommend bringing a young child into this store. This is a small boutique type store with items on display that can easily be knocked over and broken. If you happen to be visiting when they have an event featuring a local artist (join their mailing list to find out about upcoming events), I highly recommend attending. You will have the opportunity to meet the artist, see and purchase their work and be treated to a glass of local wine, other locally made beverages and a small dish or appetizer prepared by a local North Fork...

I love stopping in Greenport Village for a fresh round of creative and fun visuals. The Weathered Barn offers decor in muted tones and themed to the local beaches and shellfish. This creates a range of craft and home decor items that compliment the many cedar shingled homes surrounding the beach communities across the North Fork of Long Island. Some of the favorites are the light bulb stem vases, perfect detail for over the farmhouse sink. Another is the range of scented candles that do not overpower the room. Wow this place is just incredible. I got their face scrub, olive oil soap, shampoo bar, and face serum. The owner even allowed me to get a smaller bottle of their scalp serum which has my hair looking so healthy after just once use! My skin and body has never felt more refreshed.
