The service here has always been lackluster (no bueno). There’ve been plenty of times I’ve come to this Wendy’s location in the past 2-3 years and nobody seems to care—everyone’s extreme careless, lazy, or whatever. I would imagine this particular restaurant location has issues everywhere and in almost every single way you can think of. I’m not going to get into all the details or everything, but will describe some issues I’ve witnessed from past/previous visits.
First off, there never seems to be anyone watching the front counters when they’re supposed to. Sometimes if you go in to order and no ones up front, you literally have to call “hello” or do something to get the ignorant people’s attention from the back of the store (kitchen area). Second, they’re very bad at getting orders correctly served. It’s not often when it happened to me, but I recall occasionally getting the wrong order for something I’ve ordered. Before this writing review, I already read other reviews stating how they’re always messing and/or mixing up other people’s. And third, whenever I’ve occasionally placed online pick up orders, they’re very lazy and don’t put it on the front racks for people to grab on the go without making contact with the staff. There’ve been maybe 1 or 2 incidents when my online order should’ve been waiting for me on the shelf, where I had to confront the incompetent staff before they gave it to me.
Some of the issues from my past experiences here are just a tip of the iceberg. Oversell, this Wappingers store really needs to improve on their customer service/satisfaction for people to keep coming back. I’ve been to other different Wendy’s locations over the years where I’ve had better service and nothing like what I saw here. It’s a night and day difference if you compare this store to other Wendy’s in the area or other Wendy’s throughout the country as well as other parts of the state (NY in general). Read moreI went to Wendy's at 9:13 PM tonight after a movie and ordered 1 and 1/2 half salads for my daughter and I. I asked for the Southwest and they told me that they did not have the chicken to make it, so we opted for and paid for a buffalo chicken salads with ranch. What we received was much less than what we asked for! We received a bland, regular crispy chicken salad with Buffalo ranch! This is not the same thing!!! When I called to point out the issue, they asked for me to bring it back! Unfortunately, I live over 45 minutes away across the other side of the river at West Point, NY and by a gate that closes at 10 PM!!! I AM SO UPSET because the associate who picked up the phone told me they couldn't do anything about it! They did not offer a practical solution (e.g. a refund or even a equitable replacement for the correct item that I paid for to be picked up on a different day! The chicken because was dry and rubbery, and the crispy flakes were barely even on the chicken! It tasted like it was refrigerated and not even fresh!!! It is probably the worst salad that I have EVER had and definitely not worth what I paid for it! LOUSY Customer Service and INATTENTION TO DETAIL is going to KILL YOUR BUSINESS (your customers will not return and you will loose out on profits if the food is corrected or the customer never returns)! Read moreI visited the Wappingers Falls Wendy’s hoping to pick up a meal for my family waiting at home, on the way home from work. What I got was not a meal for my family, but an incorrect portion of what I wanted and ordered. A woman speaking to me over the intercom in the drive thru was not only rude and abrupt, but ended my order for my family at home, pre-maturely. My attempts to get her attention through the intercom were met with silence. I could only assume I was being ignored. Guess I’m not getting all my food unless I talk to them at the window? I decided to not speak to anyone at the window about the misunderstanding. I figured what I DID order might be enough food anyway so I gave them my card and I received my food, and left some-what frustrated. I did not want to hold up the line either of coarse. When I got home we discovered our medium sprite was literally water with ice. It did not even taste like seltzer! In addition, the Dave’s double I ordered turned into a Baconator double. This all costs me time (wasted) and money (also wasted). I have NEVER received such poor service from a Wendy’s. OR, from any establishment for that matter.
