Very nice!
I went in and plaed my order via the kiosk. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen with pork for my dad, and a miso ramen with chicken for myself. And the chicken on a stick for us each, and for drinks, my dad got the infruit peach tea, with regular sugar, and I got infruit strawberry tea with no sugar.
We got our drinks first, and while we waited for our order, I took in the vibe. It's very trendy and chic. Very modern, like something you would find in a major city. And also very clean and vibrant. Even the bathroom was clean, which is very nice.
My order number was called out, and I went to get it. They serve the ramen not in throwaway bowls unless you're getting take-out, but in actual bowls, which you bring back after eating. I went to Korea last year, and when I got udon noodles there, they served them in actual bowls, which you bring back after eating there also. I loved my time in Korea, so having this experience gave me that rush of happy memories.
I've never had Japanese ramen before, and I quite enjoyed it. I've had miso soup before at sushi joints, and the soup was good. The noodles were premium, this ain't no cheap ramen, guys. And with the chicken, and the narutomaki, seaweed, corn, and I think little cuts of green onion, mix it all together and you've got a tasty bowl of ramen right there. And the chicken on a stick comes in two per order, and it's not just chicken but also cuts of green onion, on a bed of lettuce. And it's covered with this sweet glaze, I don't know how to describe it, but I enjoyed it fine. And the tea, perhaps it would taste better with sugar, I just chose not to have sugar in mine as I am trying to watch my figure. But my dad had sugar in his and he quite enjoyed it, he likes sweet things. But otherwise, the tea really brought me those asian vibes, and the cuts of fruit on the side, it just feelsl ike the perfect drink to have during the summer months.
With everything combined for two people, it cost me about $68, so it wasn't cheap. But it was very good. And the ramen bowls go for $15 a pop, so if you don't get a lot of additives like I did, then it won't be that much. The ramen is premium, the drinks were nice, the vibes are killer, and the service was good. I will say that the inside does feel a bit cramped, so I can imagine it getting crowded if it gets super busy. But a lot of people came and went as they ordered takeout. But it seems like a nice place to come and chill, have a refreshing tea, and some filling ramen.
I look forward to...
Read more🌟 Soft Open Vibes = 10/10 🌟 Watertown just leveled up. 👏 Today was the soft open of Taichi Bubble Tea & Ramen, and let me just say—it’s giving cozy, it’s giving flavor, it’s giving I’ll be back next week (and the one after that). 😌🍜🧋
First impressions? Vibe check = passed with flying colors. The atmosphere was vibrant but chill—like the kind of place where you could post up with a book or catch up with friends over some seriously good eats. 🎶 The music selection? On point. No weird elevator tunes—just straight vibey tracks that match the aesthetic.
💁♀️ The staff? Absolute gems. Super friendly, helpful, and clearly excited to be there. They walked me through the menu (which can be a little overwhelming if you’re new to ramen or boba) and answered all my questions without any of the rushed “I’ve-been-here-all-day” energy. Bonus points for the kiosk ordering option—convenient and perfect for when the line’s poppin’.
Now onto the stars of the show: 🍜 Tonkotsu Ramen – Rich, flavorful broth, noodles with just the right bounce, and toppings that brought it all together. This bowl was comfort in culinary form. 🧋 Green Tea Boba – Smooth, just sweet enough, and the boba had that perfect chewy texture. Not too soft, not too tough. Chef’s kiss.
AND—if you’re into cute things (like I unapologetically am), don’t sleep on their merch. Their plushies? Soft enough to live on my bed now. ✨
I’ve had Taichi in Syracuse NY before, but honestly… Watertown’s location just hits different. Whether it’s the energy, the team, or the layout—this one’s got heart. ❤️
TL;DR: ✅ Delicious ramen & boba ✅ Chill, aesthetic vibes ✅ Friendly staff + kiosk convenience ✅ Adorable merch ✅ Weekly dinner spot unlocked 🔓
Go support them while they're fresh on the scene. Trust me, this spot is going to be the local fave real soon.

Read moreAuthentic Japanese ramen, rice bowls, gyoza, creamy milk tea....everything here is so good!! The strawberry milk tea is my all-time favorite, but the peach rose (just tried this one today 🤤), honeydew, taro, jasmine, and classic brown sugar are all excellent flavors too! The restaurant itself is cute and cozy, the staff are always cheerful and friendly, and the food/drinks are phenomenal! Whether it's to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere while we eat, grab and go with some takeout, or just pick up a congratulatory milk tea after surviving another week of work, Taichi is definitely my new favorite spot. So beyond happy they opened a location here! I'm already eyeing those scallion pancakes to try on my next visit 👀 Been going just about every week since they opened and I don't think that's changing...
