I downloaded the app as I was rushing to work. I ordered a wrap. Pretty simple. It defaulted on accident to delivery. So I went in immediately and let the girl at the cash register know that I was going to have takeout instead of delivery. I asked her how long it would take and she told me 30 minutes. I understand the places are busy but they had two tables with a couple people at each table and they already had their food. I was a little confused by the time constraint. I went and sat in my car. I gave them 15 minutes. I figured that was all it needed to take to put a wrap together. I went back in and the girl checked in the back and told me it was going to be another 10 or so minutes. They had 15 pizzas in the display case. About three people making pizzas. One guy was feeling little cups of dressing and then there were two or three other people walking around behind there. I'm sure everybody had a job. When my wrap finally came out after telling the girl that I was on a time constraint and that's why I ordered it ahead of time while driving there, The man that handed it to me did apologize. The wrap was amazing. It was a very good. If you are going to be a app-based, fast food or even restaurant You should make sure that those orders are done in a quick manner. The reason why people use app based ordering is for convenience and so that when they get there their food is ready. The time stamp on the receipt was at 4:45 pm and I did not get my wrap until 5:20 p.m. All in all the place was clean, the people were courteous and the wrap that I ordered was very well put together and tasted wonderful. I will probably go back to give it a second try and maybe even eat some pizza. They had a...
Read moreI'm a local resident, live about 4 minutes away. This place opened up about two or three months ago, we finally got around to ordering today. I ordered pizza from more than a few places around the area and haven't been satisfied. Slice has good pizza, we really enjoyed it. Closest to NY pizza that I've tasted in the area. It reminds me a little of New Park pizza (well known pizza place) down in Queens. Only thing missing is the salted undercarriage. Solid pizza pie nonetheless. The pepperoni and anchovies were good quality as well. Good crust too, which is the trademark of great pizza.
We also ordered wings and calamari. Wings were also good. Such a simple thing, wings are but so many places get them wrong. Don't know why or how. This place gets it right. Finally we have a place for pizza and wings.
The calamari was good as well but it was missing the cherry peppers and the aioli. So that was a let down. Another let down, the food was delivered cold. We live so close but apparently not close enough to get warm food. We heated it up but for the missing aioli and cold pizza I took a star.
Local pizza that is delicious, just what the area sorely needed. I'll order again and update this review and let you know how it goes. Local business is important to support and we plan on trying this pizza again. Great pizza. Delivery and attention to detail needs a little work. Good luck Slice, you're off to a...

Edit** This is one i hate to write. Loved slice it opened up at the same time that we moved to yorktown and for the past 2 years it's been the spot we love showing to other people. Recently however post the launch of the somers store there's been a markedly severe drop in the quality. Idk if it's an ingredient change or talent was pulled to the new store but this went from my favorite local pizza place to one I'm struggling to understand how it's the same place. Dough isn't being risen anymore in knots you get hard flat knots it's clear it's the same flavor but they are hard and flat. Pizza seems different idk if it's execution or contents.
The review i hope they get back to: I've just recently moved up to Yorktown from NYC and have been trying to figure out what my new "spot" would be up here. Today I dropped into slice and that role has been filled. This Pizza is fantastic. Crisp thin crust but not such that it doesn't support all the toppings they pile on. Tried the drunken grandma slice, ulti-meat and eggplant delight. All were hits, the spiciness of the ulti-meat cut through that fatty rich flavor from the different meats. Well thought out combinations and extremely reasonable prices given the product. I will definitely be back again 10/10 on par with some of the best pizza joints I had back...
