Quickway Japanese Hibachi — Restaurant in Towson

ONE STAR! That’s all this place deserves - I’d give them a ZERO if it were an option. I’m a regular eating out person and was thrilled to see another option come to my town. I went here several times, but started to notice something a bit sinister. I ignored it because I wanted to be fair but one day it just got to me because it was so blatant. What I noticed was that anytime non-minorities (you know what I’m talking about) were right behind or right in front of me the restaurant cooks would give them more meat. I literally wanted to take a pic because it was so blatantly obvious that we ordered the same thing but his meat was piled high and mine didn’t even cover half of my rice. I was so pissed! My money is green just like theirs. This time I wasn’t going to let it go. So I actually say to the cooks, “can I get the same amount of meat as him? That’s all I get?” because I was tired of the “discrepancy.” This non minority was standing right behind me. I listened to his order. He did not order or pay for extra meat, but you better believe they gave him almost twice as much meat as they gave me. The cook kind of rolled his eyes and gave me, literally, 3-4 broken up tiny pieces of chicken. But they expect us to keep patronizing this inequality. Why can’t people just be fair and no one would need to say anything. My stomach was hurting after that meal anyway so between that and that negative experience I had that day, I haven’t been back. I don’t plan on going back to patronize that kind of blatant inequality. It’s really ridiculous the consideration some get over others. Yes, the food is cheap, but my dignity is worth much more! And anyway, there is MUCH better food over at Suschi Ichiban Towson AND the customer service is fair and awesome! Never once have the staff at Suschi Ichiban ever made me feel less than. As a matter of fact, as a regular customer they have shown their appreciation many times. It’s nice to go out and feel respected and appreciated. I’ve been going to Suschi Ichiban since I moved here almost 2 years ago and they’ve never once treated me any differently than anyone else. AND they speak to you respectfully. Their food is also very reasonably priced. More importantly, I’ve never gotten sick eating there, not even once!

Quickway should do a better job of measuring the food they give out to make sure EVERYONE gets the same amount because this giving certain people more than others is not going to work. I was calm about it, but if it had been another person like me they may have gotten cursed out on site. I shouldn’t have to pay the same price as someone else, but get less food. Call it what you want but fair is fair. No one is looking to make trouble, just get good food and be treated respectfully.

“Some people” should not get more than “others” but pay the same amount just because you (Quickway) want to make sure THEY come back. But I got your number now, though. I see you. No problem. Didn’t Quickway just open a location near Morgan State, too? Word gets out fast ‘round these parts. Fix...

I have had way better hibachi the quality and taste isn’t there for me .I’d rather eat chipotle I asked the young lady / cashier . Did they have fried eggs or eggs for that matter and she told me no I see a gentleman that works there with eggs place in his food I proceeded the ask the cashier I thought you guys said you don’t have any eggs , she says oh we don’t that’s not for the line and then pointed at the guy/employee that worked there with the eggs and his food , you lied and said you didn’t have any eggs when you did have eggs in your establishment I am a customer correct what was so hard about charging me for a boiled egg No worries I am NOT from the area and I will be NOT be returning. There are so many Quickway options in Baltimore, this one is not terrible. It is very small inside and with only about 3 tables you are not guaranteed a place to actually eat. (I live over 20 mins away from this location, so I would not want to be surprised in to having to take it to go). The food is good, on par with other locations. The spicy tuna rolls were not too spicy as at other locations sometimes. Also, there needs to be some kind of baffle on the air vents, they blow entirely too hard on you when seated...
