So, I've heard alot about this restaurant and was eagerly anticipating it's opening. I was surprised to see "a not so crowded" place as is the case when a new restaurant opens in the area.
I had anticipated that a long line of customers would be out the door and into the parking but was amazed to see only a few people inside. There was more cars going through their drive-thru than inside the restaurant.
This restaurant is located right in the same parking lot as the "Texas Roadhouse " restaurant which has an established regular clientele.
Honestly, I was surprised to see more people at Texas Roadhouse than at the opening of this new place!
Walking inside this "new restaurant" I could see the numerous quarter chickens on the grill and the smell of other ingredients that permiates the air.
I was surprised that my wait in line moved along fairly quickly and placed my order of grilled chicken with a side of rice and a double chicken salad.
After about a 10 minute wait I received my order which on first appearance didn't give you that "wow factor." In my humble opinion, "it didn't convey that "this looks yummy feeling."
I cut into my chicken and discover that it's on the "dry side!?" You would think that a place that prides itself on "chicken," that they would know how to make a juicy chicken!?
"I've had better chicken at Hometown Buffet (now closed)..."
I then go onto tasting my Spanish Rice, which has no flavor and the rice is undercooked! At this point I'm thinking wow, this isn't good especially for this established restaurant, which I have tried in the past with nothing but good things to say.
My "double chicken salad" was nowhere what was advertised and it said it came with Avocado but none was located in my order!
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement.
This establishment, which opened its first restaurant in Los Angeles in 1980 grew in popularity over the past 3 decades and is supposed to specialize in nothing but chicken but I was very disappointed on this occasion.

Read moreIt was my first time at this place and when my husband and I came in, we saw that everything looked clean and organized and the place smelled pretty good. It was hard to place our order though, because the girl that took our order looked kind of nervous and very confused and on top of everything else she couldn't hear us and/or understand us well... because there was a loud noise in the back -I guess it was the sound of a guy slamming on the counter top whatever utensil he was using to cut the pieces of chicken-, so it was very annoying and loud; so we couldn't hear each other very well and it was very frustrating!, when I asked the girl if it was always like that (loud) she said yes! I told her (God bless you!) because she had to deal with that annoying sound all the time. My husband ordered a chicken tostada and I ordered a combination meal of 2 pieces of chicken with a side of rice and beans and it was supposed to come with a salsa too. Also she asked several times if we wanted corn or flour tortillas even though we had already told her that we wanted corn everytime she asked@@ At the time we were there no one else was there, so they were not busy! I asked the girl if she put salsa in the box and she was still confused and wasn't sure, so I took a slight peek to the bag she gave us and it was hard to tell, so I assumed that she put it in there and then she basically confirmed that she did; but unfortunately when we arrived at home I realized that she didn't #-( My husband told me that the chicken tostada was okay but not at all! like the chicken tostada he used to get in another place -he said that it needed some kind of moisture or that it was missing something but he couldn't tell exactly what is it that it was missing- My chicken had a good flavor but a little salty, plus the pieces were very small and not very meaty#( The rice was okay and the...
Read moreWell my experience begins in the drive thru menu ordering these new nachos I saw advertised and they seemed pretty appetizing. I placed my order for the loco nachos guac on the side perfectly fine when I get to the window the worker with glasses, Male, mid-20s, a couple tattoos on his arm told me "they had just ran out of guac" if there was anything else he can give me to compansiate I said "yes one of those avacado salsa cups that they drizzle over the nachos" load and behold he gave me one of those small gross green salsa cups and he just gave me the bag and closed the window and walked off. Didnt even give me time to tell him it was the wrong sauce. I go home not bothered by his jackass attitude and proceed to devour these nachos but when I opened it they looked sad and dry no queso blanco really whatsoever the chips tasted like oil and were extremely salty which made them super dry like the Sahara desert on top of no sauce or cheese. Chicken was cold flavor not at all there.
