Papa urb is one of my favorite places to go to get something different for lunch. Their sigsig fries are top of the class when it comes to French fries for lunch. Although I never experienced this in the past (& I been coming here for years) today was very disappointing. My order of sig sig fries was horrible. It started when I placed my order, usually they will ask if I want extra Sauce as well as sauce on the side. The sauce is the key that brings this whole dish together. There was a tiny drizzle, and I mean tiny drizzle of sauce on one side and completely sauceless on the other. The sig sig was less than par as well. Having mostly fatty parts and less meat to top my fries, in combination with being sauceless, I basically paid $8 for a box of fries. Very dissatisfied today. Idk what’s going on in the kitchen but I shall return eventually, hopefully this was just a 1 time thing. Don’t let me down papa urb it’ll make or break someone else’s day. Overall it’s still one of my favorite...
Read moreOh my god, wow. I'm very skeptical of foreign food way out in the middle of nowhere, but this place had good reviews and the pictures were too enticing to pass it up.
We ordered way too much food but I just wanted to try as much as possible. We got the sisig fries, BBQ pork belly, Lumpia, adobo chicken, and one more dish (sorry, I totally can't remember what it was). Everything was amazing, the flavors were strong and unique, nevertheless incredibly filling. Good filipino food is hard to find, and I wish this restaurant wasn't so far out :(.
I'd ABSOLUTELY come back, I already have so many people in mind that I wish I could take here. The restaurant is rather small, and there's no bathroom, but this is a must try, do not pass it up. Nothing we ate was subpar and I can imagine that most of the things on the menu are as delicious as everything else that we ordered. If anything, at least...
Read more**I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Papa Urb's Grill in Tracy. I spent over $60 on a meal, expecting a decent portion, but what I got was shockingly small. The lumpia rolls were tiny—almost like twigs—and the lechon kawali was so stingy that it felt like they were cutting corners on purpose. For the price, the portion sizes were unbelievably meager.
This is not the standard I expect from a Filipino restaurant, and honestly, it feels like a disservice to Filipino cuisine. They should either step up their game or reconsider how they run this place because right now, it’s just not worth it.
Would not recommend, and I won’t be coming back.**
Pipichugin Yung lumpia tapos, Yung kaldereta parang isang maliit na damukal binigay. Lintik tapos Yung lechon kawali parang pipichugin na daliri punitol putol. Omg talaga Yung lumpia nila parang some weed addict rolled up a...
