The staff are friendly and helpful. Love the atmosphere. Bakery cabinet at the front. Bar and pizza oven in the middle. And bakery kitchen in the back behind glass. The wooden tables give the place a sense of quality.
The food is quality but pricey so be ready for that. A chocolate croissant was $6. Two strips of chocolate on either side. Light, flaky, crunchy on the edges. Tastes of butter and love. Very much like a good European croissant.
We also got tomato pizza with two green side salads ($19 and $5 each). There’s no cheese on the tomato pizza and the crust is thin and crunchy. The must use Seminole flour in the dough, maybe? Pizza has 8 pieces. We boxed up half to take home. The pizza was ok. Not much flavor. We saw someone with the cheese bread. That looked really good. So did the sandwiches . The salad was a mix of green lettuces. No other vegetables in the green salad. The dressing was amazing. Light and delicious. We also got the beer on tap from Frankfort ($7 each). Very good.
Our bill was $52 for two people with tax. We tipped in cash. That seemed like a lot for lunch for two people. But it was good. I will go back again.
Update: The tomato pizza, the next day as leftovers, heated a little, is incredibly delicious. A totally different pizza. Wow! The crust softens and the...

My wife and I visited from Ohio, and from the moment we stepped into Common Good, we felt welcomed—not just as customers, but as part of something meaningful.
We started with the chicken sandwich, stacked with vibrant heirloom tomatoes and tucked into perfectly toasted artisan bread. The house pickles added the perfect tang, and the chopped salad was crisp, refreshing, and full of flavor. I sipped on a smooth iced coffee that hit the spot.
But it didn’t stop there.
We enjoyed it so much, we came back for dinner—and let me tell you, the Amelia Pizza was incredible. Truly good for the soul. Every bite was layered with flavor, warmth, and care. We could feel the intention behind the food.
Another favorite moment? Sitting with a hearty Caesar salad, anchovies and all, while soaking in the uplifting energy. One of the team members wore a shirt that said “Do Good, Every Day”—and that spirit echoed through the entire experience.
Whether you’re a local or visiting like us, this place is a gem. The care, the craft, the community spirit—it’s all here.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you again next year. From Ohio with love—keep up the excellence!! It was nice to meet own Jason, and our server Ella and...
Read moreAMAZING all around!!! Really mad at myself for not trying this place sooner! We were in the mood for pizza and the wait everywhere else on Memorial Day weekend was ridiculous. We stopped by Common Good Restaurant and I am SO happy we did! Not only did they have live music but the service was phenomenal. Fresh homemade pastas, great wine selection and then there was the pizza. As Chicago natives I think we’re pretty conditioned to good pizza and have been rack-and-stacking places in and around TC for years. We thought we had a #1 spot until we came here. Hands down the best pizza in TC for thin crust. The crust had a perfect crisp, the cheese nice and caramelized (and creamy) and sauce was perfect. We got the Calabrian Chili pie (with a side of regular red) and it did not disappoint!!! Very unique, not too spicy. Ample parking and again, great service/food… what more could you ask for!? Maybe outdoor seating??? Either way…. Make this a stop if you’re in town! It’s totally worth it!! Can’t wait...
