My experience with this place didn’t get off on a good note. I made a reservation for Sunday, June 17, which was Father’s Day, at 3:30 PM. The Friday before I received a phone call from an employee confirming my reservation but telling me that I would only have one hour and 15 minutes in order to dine there because they had someone else waiting for my table. I’m 54 years old and have dined in numerous restaurants where I have made reservations and have never ever, ever had someone call me and tell me I would have a limited amount to dine. I called Sunday to cancel my reservation but asked to speak to a manager and spoke with Tabatha and explained what the situation was that had occurred. She said that must’ve been a new employee because that is not their standard operating procedure. She said she would really like it if she could comp our meal if we would still come in and not cancel our reservation. I told her I would think about it and call her back. I talked to my wife and we decided we would give it a shot because we both been looking forward to checking this place out. I will say this much, her bacon cheeseburger was very good as well as the ribeye steak that I got, however we got an appetizer of old Bay rubbed chicken wings and the Asian shrimp which both said “jumbo“. Neither one of these items look to be jumbo, just normal sized. And for the price that was listed on the menu for each of these items it’s seemed to be a tad overpriced. The wings were very good and the shrimp was average. We did try flight of beers which were good. My wife also had a margarita and I had a Mojito. I have yet to find a place that makes a Mojito as good as the cheesecake factory but they duplicated it perfectly. We had the chocolate cake for dessert which was very rich and very good. I thank Tabatha immensely for doing what she did because I told her that was not necessary but she said she felt that it was because of the error that was made by the employee calling me. Our server Molly, was a fantastic waitress. Great service and always smiling. Tabatha turned what could’ve been a very negative experience for their restaurant into a very positive one by handling it in a professional manner. Kudos to you Tabatha. Keep up...
Read moreMy actual entree, the Chicken Toscana, was delicious and fresh--I would absolutely order it again. The restaurant itself has a great ambiance, and my beverage, the flying monkey was SO good! The rest of my experience, though, is what will likely keep me from returning.
My heart still absolutely goes out to restaurants and bars who I know continue to be understaffed, and we had a larger party/birthday reservation which meant we were absolutely prepared to be patient as our group is SUPER laid back and had lots of catching up to do...but I'm honestly not even sure where to start with the service here. Our waitress took a solid 20 minutes to even come to our table, which is ok honestly because we were chatting/catching up. She asked us which side of the table she should start at for orders (we're assuming drink/appetizer orders), so we politely said the other side of the table as that was who was paying. The host of our party was unsure what appetizers she wanted at that point, but instead of taking drink orders and coming back, she turned around and left. It was literally another half hour before a single person at our table got any sort of beverage. My drink was completely forgotten and I had to politely ask for it twice, so for me, absolutely no exaggerating, I did not have a beverage for one hour after being seated. When she brought my beverage, she said "it was really difficult for me to get this" and walked away. I didn't need a groveling apology or anything, but seriously? So it's my fault, lol?
Finally, as I mentioned, the food was great, but our plates came out two or three at a time in ten to fifteen minute shifts. So that means two people got their food, fifteen minutes later two others would, I digress. Two people didn't get meals until the rest of us were literally almost finished.
I might recommend this place for a couple or small group with LOTS of time to spare, but perhaps until they have more staff, a large group/celebration...
Read moreMy family and I had reservations for Sunday Brunch we were aware that we couldn’t be seated at the same table so we made two reservations. There was one reservation for 5 and one for 6. When we got there the manager told us he could seat everyone but would not put us in the same section. Because he did not want us getting up and going to the other table and congregating. We never said we wanted to do that we just wanted to be seated in the same section. We were very aware of the Covid restrictions. There was no one in the restaurant it was empty. We even asked to sit on the patio and he refused that. I eat at this restaurant on a regular basis and I was very disappointed with how we were treated. I asked the manager for the corporate office number he gave me a problem about giving it to me. I asked him for his business card he said he didn’t have any. He was very uncooperative when I asked him for his name he pointed to his shirt and said this is my name. So after minutes of going back and forth trying to get the info so I could lodge a formal complaint I got frustrated and told him his attitude was F*^~
