My husband and I were in the area and decided to carry out lunch from La Saj. We ordered 2 sandwich combos and extra garlic. We drove home to eat (we do not live close) and as we unpacked the bag, we discovered that we didn't get everything we paid for. My husband's soup was missing, the hummus that came with the combos wasn't there and our extra garlic was missing too which is so awesome when you have a dozen pieces of bread and nothing to dip it in. Our receipt was stapled to the bag and everything we ordered, including the missing items, was crossed off like someone was double checking the order but they didn't actually put all the items in the bag. This is the most frustrating you can do to me as a customer - not give me everything I ordered and paid for. It's not like you can eyeball a carryout bag and know everything is there and I'm not going to be that person who stands at the register and unpacks everything to see if I'm getting my full order (although maybe I need to start doing this). I didn't get the feeling they were that busy either. At one point 3 of the servers were congregated behind the register, casually chit chatting. Meanwhile the woman who took our order was rushing back and forth to serve tables and on her way out from the kitchen, quickly thrust our carry out bag in my hands and told us we were all set.
To be fair, I did call to let them know what happened and the woman who I spoke with was nice, apologized and took down my phone number so next time we come in, we can get the items we were shorted. I don't think we'll be back though. There are plenty of good Lebanese places closer to home that always give us our full order.
The food we did get from La Saj was good so for that, they get...
Read moreI ordered a takeout on 12/17/21 it was a fairly large order and it was ready in about 25 minutes, I ordered a beef tray for 4 people, also Large Fatoush salad, hummus, baba ganoush, garlic dip, cheese sticks, French fries, and also we had house salad, Greek salad and lentil soup that came with the beef tray and I also ordered a dozen pita bread.
The Good, the Salads, hummus, baba ganoush, cheese sticks and the garlic dip were all excellent as usual no complaints there.
The Bad, the beef tray for 4 was not as good, I ordered the meat to be medium well, what I got was dry over cooked meat that was very hard and burned not a hint of red in it. The meat and chicken Shawarma shouldn’t be called shawarma, shawarma is usually on a spinner not cooked in a skillet with spices and it was also over cooked and burnt, also the bread we ordered wasn’t baked fresh it was either baked a day before or early in the morning and placed in plastic bags
More details should be put into the food and it should be cooked fresh and not prepared ahead of time, since the order was ready in less the 25 minutes it leads me to believe the food was previously prepared and heated and rushed out. I paid a large amount of money for this order and it should have been as good and as fresh as if you are sitting inside the...
Read moreMy take-out order was huge for a great price (under $20). The 7 falafel dinner was perfect--garnished with beets, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and parsley. (Order extra tahini sauce!) I drizzled it with olive oil viniagret.
The side salad, dozen pitas, garlic sauce, rice, and hummus filled my tummy with vegan health and happiness.
5/5 on the food. The menu is a vegetarian's and vegans delight!
The menu also fit every budget. $3 for a dozen bread is a meal alone! $5 hummus were and $11 falafel dinner was enough for 2-3 people.
There's a huge selection with pricier items though, so come ready to afford a delicious Lebanese meal.
The restaurant exterior was well lit and landscaped. It had ample parking. A colorful luminous sign made sure it would not be missed day or night.
Upon entry, there's a large, well decorated vestibule with high ceilings and comfy seating. On the left, there's a banquet room for large parties of families. Women and children laugh.
On the right, there's a restaurant area filled with a traditional, all male, middle eastern clientelle. They chatter and laugh loudly.
At the back, was the checkout. To the left, a wall was lined with high back stools and tables. Across from it, kitchen staff readied orders and made smoothies.
5/5 on ambiance. I'd like to sit down and...
