I have never left a Yelp review before, and do not like to do so especially if it is negative. However, I am hoping that leaving this review will be helpful in improving the customer service and restaurant experience, and be seen as a learning opportunity for this restaurant and their future customers. My party and I were looking forward to eating here tonight. It was a nice atmosphere with a friendly hostess, and our waitress was pleasant in the earlier part of our experience. When it was time to order, I ordered the vegetable fusilli pasta dish after attempting to order the half roasted chicken in which the waitress shared that they no longer had the roasted chicken available for the evening. The pasta dish arrived but was highly over-seasoned and very salty to the point of it becoming unpalatable, not just by me, but by others who tasted my dish in our party. We brought that to the attention of our waitress who replied that she guessed that I should have gone with the mushroom polenta dish and questioned if we still wanted to take the fusilli home. We respectfully declined. Nothing more was stated. My husband shared part of his dish with me, but we both left still hungry. Needless to say, after the experience with my meal, as well as my daughter's meal which was forgotten from ordering it earlier, and my other daughter's drink was missing, we do not plan on returning anytime soon. We originally planned on ordering dessert as well before this whole experience, but instead we went to the grocery store to get dessert, and to supplement our meals. Interesting enough, we experienced better customer service at the...

A Little Overpriced, but You Get Good Food on a Fantastic Balcony.

We had the pleasure of experiencing a perfect night and had to find a place with outside seating and good food. This fit the bill and came through for us. While you pay a premium price, you almost get an equally premium meal. However, don't let that stop you from trying this place.

For starters, we ordered the Cheese and Charcuterie Board ($24) that had two cheese and two charcuterie morsels with pickled vegetables, honey, mustard, fruit, on grilled bread. This was a letdown because you only get four--for that price, but they tasted great. For my entree, I ordered their Cheeseburger ($18), a half-pound patty with pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions, served with fries. It was a solid burger, but nothing to write home about. My date ordered the Linguini ($25), a medley of pasta, seasonal vegetables, and their house ricotta. She loved it and thought the it tasted great.

I really wish I could rate on the half-star, because this is another place that is a solid 3.5 Star, but because of the price-point, I have...

We found this place walking down the "boardwalk". My friend and I had just played some disc golf, and, our lovely wives were shopping in the area. We spotted their car, and, decided to try to "pick 'em up" and see if they would have lunch with us Old Sweaty guys. Okay - I'm the only old guy, but, I kicked his buttocks at Disc Golf, it helped his arm was in a sling. ahhahahaa. So .. they decided we could buy them lunch - we'll turn that table in a while. So - down we go to the Truckee Tavern and Grill. Food was okay. Better than what I expected, not as good as I would have liked. We ate outside, as, girlfriend had her dog with her, can't go in with a dog. The ladies had a cocktail - and - were duly impressed. They made them pretty good. We all ate - like I said - food was okay! I ate it. I'll eat it again. Friends live in Truckee - so - we'll definitely eat there again (already have). The place is nice inside. If we ever go there without a danged dog, it would be fun eating and drinking inside. Go there .. you'll most likely enjoy it as much as I do...

This place is a culinary delight. It was a bit more expensive than it appeared on the reviews. It is $30 to $45 dinner per person before drinks. That being said the meal was on pointe. The steak cooked perfectly as to order, the side (additional $10) of fresh garden carrots mouth watering. Lovely and fresh. The cheeseburger was huge and fries crisp and fresh. The amount of food on this plate was a lot. The black pepper agnotti pasta and sauce were homemade and delightful. The only thing was we wished for more pasta and less filling and sauce. Wine and beer menu were a great addition to the meal ($15 per drink). Location of the restaurant is perfect. It is upstairs in an old building (with an elevator). Exposed beams, brick, old wide plank wood floors and copper table tops make an enchanted, fun evening. It is a perfect balance for a date night or dinner with the kids. Dress code is mountain dress and had the ranges of nice date night dress to simple cold wet snow gear.

Arrived and the place was empty and it seemed like they were doing us a favor by getting us a table. We ordered and we’re one of the first groups to order. It took over an hour to get our food. The server just overlooked that issue and didn’t even check in or acknowledge the fact that the food was taking so long. We were about to get up and leave, but the food finally arrived. It was sub par, definitely not worth the wait or the price. We were also told that we would get a discount on one of the drinks, since they were out of one of the ingredients, but nothing was taken off. As we were about to leave. The table beside us was complaining about the same issue. Had to wait over and hour for food. It finally arrived and they didn’t even get the kids’ meal. Not sure if they were understaffed or what. But even a server checking in to get us more drinks or water or even acknowledge and apologize for the wait would have gone a long way.
