Habaneros Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Trussville

Me and my gf decided to try and find a nice local Mexican restaurant that was like the one we loved In Tuscaloosa. I moved to alabama from New Orleans in 2017 and it amazes me how many people on here, say that the food is amazing. My beef chimichanga had no flavor, and wasn’t even cooked all the way. The meet inside was dry, and the beans weren’t bad, but they also weren’t that great. I love Mexican food that has flavor, and you can usually tell a lot about a restaurant by the way they marinate and season their steaks, and I wouldn’t even want to try a steak from this place. It was so bad, we were wanting to leave and not pay a dime for meal, because it was that bad. I never leave a place without leaving a tip, and last night I paid my bill and left no tip, because I didn’t even want to pay for that nasty food. The sad part was, we were asked multiple times how the food was, and we said not good, and our waiter just said ok thank you. When I went to pay, I was asked again, how was everything. I told them it was alright, and no one stopped to question why I said it was just alright. I know the affects of someone leaving and not paying, which is why I paid, but I felt so bad paying money for that type of food quality, which was poor to say the least. This was by far the worse experience of a lifetime. I ordered a fajita chicken taco salad .. spicy salsa .. not only did the chips and salsa take a while to come out but when they bought my food out the shell was burned . I sent it back and then they bought my husband food out (he absolutely he enjoyed it) . So when they did bring my food back out a second time it was the filling from the previous food I sent back . They bring us another round of chips and salsa . The salsa WAS SO SALTY WE COULDN’T EVEN EAT IT . Seriously I'm not sure how this has four and a half stars??? I took my granddaughter here and it was so dark and without my glasses I couldn't even see to read the menu so I just told them what I wanted. I had a chicken burrito with red sauce nothing else with it but sour cream and my granddaughter had just chicken wrapped in a burrito nothing else with rice and with a five dollar tip my total was $30 I could have went to Taco Bell and had better food. The chicken tasted old with that fowl chicken tasted. My husband loves Mexican food but he wouldn't even eat what I took home after tasting it!!!...
