Waffle House — Restaurant in Trussville

Our server (I think her name was Ty) sucked. She made it feel like my kids and I were a bother. We ordered our drinks and I ask for more time to order the food so I could go over the options with my kids (it was my son's birthday and my other child's first time at a waffle house). We asked for a lemon for my older child's water. She thought it was for me and said there weren't anymore lemons even though a table came in right after us and got lemons for her water. I ordered a coffee and she didn't bring creamer. I had to ask her for it, which is where I got an eye roll. The kids started to tell me what they wanted and she started to write it down as if they could just order alacart and she could charge an extreme amount. I told her the boys would split an all star and add an extra waffle. She rolled her eyes and sighed like I was an annoyance. I ordered what I wanted and she walked away. She never refilled drinks, I had to ask another server for that. She brought us 1 waffle and placed it in front of my oldest kid and said she was working on the other. She never brought syrup or butter. I cut up the oldest kid's waffle for him and we waited for the rest of the food. She finally brought the kids food about 5 minutes later (missing the other waffle we ordered). I split up their food. I tried to get the servers attention but she ignored me. The table that came in after us had already got their food and handed us the syrup from their table so the kids could eat. She finally brought my food. She placed our check on the table and walked away. I asked when she was bringing the other waffle. The response was an eye roll and "oh". We finished eating, paid and left. 1 refill on drinks the entire time. She has to be the worst server ever. The whole time we were there she was too busy flirting and touching another server there. I would not recommend this...

I have lived near this location for two years. I have eaten Waffle House for 30 years. This is the ONLY location that NEVER has my order correct. I normally have to drive to the Waffle House on the second trussville exit just to get quality, and accurate service. This location ALWAYS overcharges. The total is never the same even when you order the same thing for 30 years. They always have different people working because they never take the time to hire and train quality employees. Valerie has the worst attitude and David just wants to hear himself talk. After telling Valerie that my order was incorrect she brushed it off and tried to tell me that it was. I left and called. David then gives EVERY excuse for the “misunderstanding” except for an apology. I returned to the location after he hung the phone up in my face. The district manager then comes out to add my total since David was sooo eager to “show” me the prices. I cannot stress enough how frustrating it is to call in a order, go to pick it up only to be overcharged and rudely dismissed, then to take up 30 more minutes of my time while the manager and district manager try to “add” on their own (while each time coming up with a different total) , then to STILL MAKE EXCUSES FOR THE MISTAKE INSTEAD OF TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES, then for them to remake the order because I had to wait sooo long, AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO RING ME UP! This location is ridiculously unorganized and despicable. If you find yourself near this location please do yourself a favor and drive 5 extra minutes up the road for quality food and great service. This location should be removed from the street. Nothing good...

My eggs were brown and had crunchy pieces, I could not eat them, they did recook them, but still brought cold toast with un melted butter, when I was ordering I told my server that I did. Not want my waffle until after.i ate my food, she brought it with my good, she took it back, when I ask for my waffle I was not given a fresh cooked even tho they claimed it was, but it sat on the plate long enough to completely sweat on the bottom and was soggy, was only warm not hot, inedible, I took my entire order home to my dogs, and drank a protein shake for my meal, after being up since 4am, then at the heart clinic since 6am, wanted a good breakfast, but guess it wasn't in my cards this day, and we had to find to server to ask for anything we needed, had to ask for coffee, spoons, etc, then she had the audacity to tell me she did appreciate how I treated her, REALLY, she's the one supposed to be earning her tip, and I don't tip when I have to continue to look for my server and ask for refills or a spoon for my coffee or a fork to eat with......she also let me know that we were not her only customers, if she was a good server she could take care of all her customers in a timely fashion and no one should ever ask for nor run out of anything, I've been a cook for many years, but I could go in that dining room and wait on a table of 6, plus a table of 4 and a table of 2 and never miss a beat, plus going from the kitchen to the dining room making sure that my kitchen was running right, SO if you can't stand the heat then get out...
