We were looking for a breakfast spot near our place and this popped up on Yelp and it didn’t disappoint! We arrived around 10am on a Sunday and the place was packed but we only had a short wait before a table was freed up. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. This place is cafe style so you order everything at the counter and then they bring it out to your table. Loved that we could get espresso while we waited in their comfy chairs. The food was also delicious and well priced. I got the veggie scramble which came with roasted potatoes, some even purple! I never knew there were purple potatoes so I though it it was really cool and they tasted just as delicious. My husband got the breakfast wrap which basically had everything I got in a wrap and was also so flavorful. I would highly recommend checking this place out for breakfast, brunch and coffee. Love supporting small businesses like these!

My husband and I came here today around 10am and had an amazing experience. The lounge/dining area was a cozy mix between industrial and nature - big bright windows, light wood accents, and leaf press prints on the walls. Our hostess and cashier, Isabella, made great suggestions for our first time eating here. I picked the avocado toast with bacon and a chai latte, my husband picked the french toast with a chai latte as well. We also got a fresh blueberry peach scone. Did I say it was fresh! It was so tasty. We enjoyed light coming in from warm sunny morning, people watching, and listening to a great selection of music. Our plates came out nice and warm, and the food was amazing! Such a great inviting and warm fuzzy feeling type of experience. The staff was great, cook was great, location and dine in experience was great! Definitely plan to make this a regular experience and spot to dine in.

I've visited Lugano on a couple of occasions, with a friend who lives nearby, and this has become his regular spot (with good reason) for breakfast, or for breakfast for lunch. My friend tends to favor their fancier coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches, while I'm quickly turning into a fan of the turkey, cranberry, and Havarti sandwich, with an Italian soda (plus cream). The choice of chips, salad, or fruit on the side makes sure you'll have an appropriate accompaniment regardless of main choice. The menu is the perfect length - large enough to have something for everyone, but small enough to indicate that everything is well thought out and prepared carefully. Whether you're visiting a local, or heading for one of the many shopping options nearby, Lugano is a wonderful spot to sit, enjoy, and take in the scenery.

I’ve given this place a half a dozen chances (maybe more) before finally concluding that it’s just not as good as I wish it was. (Service and food).

The service is a definite turnoff. For example, I ordered a croissant sandwich to go this morning that had bacon and ham as listed ingredients. I asked for no ham and just slightly more bacon instead. I didn’t want a side order of extra bacon clearly, but was charged as such (there wasn’t even that much extra bacon on the sandwich anyway). Some of the waitstaff, both in person and for to-go orders, have a rude edge to them; they’re edgy when it would take the same amount of energy to be pleasant. Overall it seems like the employees tend to be slightly disgruntled as compared to other local dining.

The food is okay, not amazing. Some items seem cooked by untrained chefs and lack flavor. Their fresh fruit today, to be fair, was good and so was the French toast. On the other hand, the eggs and toast were below average in flavor and apparent freshness.

Overall it seems like this restaurant could benefit from seeing things through the customer’s eyes for a change. It’s in a great location, so business would be great if the above comments...

Wow just wow this place looks very unassuming but inside it is a wonderful Cafe with delicious coffee and amazing food. My wife and I went in here for a quick breakfast and I had a chai tea latte and a biscuits and gravy type breakfast and she had a chorizo egg scramble and we also split a plate of the French toast that they are popular for. Suffice to say the food was perfect and had great presentation and the staff was quick and efficient and friendly.

It's really hard to find a negative for this place but I guess I would say that the parking can be a bit janky and you need to know where to park because there is no street parking and the small parking lot in the back is a bit too small for all the businesses in that area I think. I just would hate to dock a star for that because everything else is pretty much perfect.

The pricing is a bit higher than a regular Cafe but it is also in the heart of Bridgeport and a more upscale area and also the aforementioned perfect high quality food. If you are in the area or want a quality breakfast I would highly...

Gone to this cafe and I have a few things of dislike about it. First, I found this place from a discount site that I bought but the owner refused to give me the discount. Second, the cashiers turn the machine where you pay and watch you put on the tip that gives you the look of you don’t give them I guess, 20% or more. Why, it’s not a full service restaurant coz you actually have to fall in line to place your order and they’ll give you your food at the table. Isn’t that a part of what you’re paying extra for a food that’s not extra ordinary? Third, service is not good and tables are not very clean. The people that works are the same as the order takers and they also deliver the food. Fourth, I ordered coffee that never came. Lastly and more importantly and worst of all, I ate a piece of potato that tasted old and moldy and I told them about it and didn’t do anything to appease my disgust to the yucky taste in my mouth that lasted an hour trying to spit it out. I can’t say if I’ll go...
