Super King Buffet — Restaurant in Tuckahoe

I’ve eaten here several times over the years and this is the worst I’ve seen it. Several stations were just off and the ones that were open had very little to offer. One station that I think was previously deserts now has off brand fruit loops and coco puffs and Oreos. The sesame chicken was about 90% breading with tiny bits of chicken. We only ate it because they have these signs all over every table that say if you don’t eat everything on your plate they will charge you a “waste fee”. We still didn’t eat some of it and they didn’t say anything. However for roughly $30 plus drinks and tip? I could have gotten a way better meal. I hope this place makes it as they used to be good but if they stay in their current path they are going to go out of business. I went here for lunch today and arrived promptly at 11:00am. They open at 11:00am. The problem? The staff inside were still cleaning the place and setting the food up. I was finally seated after waiting for 17 minutes. So here is my review.

The Good:

Variety- This buffet has a variety of different foods for different tastes. Aside from traditional food from Chinese takeout, they also serve pizza, salmon and other things.

The Bad:

Taste- While there are many things you can choose to eat, there only a few items that actually taste decent. For the most part, the food was typical to many Chinese buffets. Overcooked, bland, and lukewarm in some instances.

Overall:

While the price for lunch is not expensive, I would much rather spend the same amount of money at my favorite Chinese takeout and order something that will be tasty and fill me...

Filthy. Food was awful. As soon as we saw the questionable sushi bar we knew we should have walked right out. Even my husband who eats like a goat was spitting food out. We didn't go to another buffet because the pictures and reviews here were good, but obviously they hired a good photographer and put comments up on their own.
