Okay, this post will make it known to all the fatty I am. This is the BEST Dairy Queen in all of Tucson. Their employees are super friendly, speak Spanish and English, and it is in a great location (4th Avenue and 6th Street). After indulging in ice cream you can walk it off by strolling up and down 4th Avenue and taking in the eclectic scenery that this area of town provides you.
Now, let me tell you why this is the best DQ in town. First, their cocoa-fudge is not like the others. It is a rich, dark cocoa with a smooth taste to complement most items. Next, this location often has specials and ingredients that other DQ locations around town do not. Just writing this review makes my mouth water.
If you're a fellow chocolate lover I'd recommend the Chocolate Xtreme Blizzard or the Royal Ultimate ChocoBrownie Blizzard (there is a treat in the center). My big kid loves the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Smash Blizzard (just what it sounds like). My little kid gets a vanilla cone dipped in cherry (with a cup for the melting mess that will undoubtedly end up all over her and anything else within reach) and the hubby he will indulge in one of their warmed treats or a S'More Blizzard when it...
Read moreWho doesn't like Dairy Queen? This girl after the terrible treatment I was given! Stopped by with two out of town guests for shakes. After standing for 2 - 3 minutes, I said helloooo? Roxanne, she said, finally acknowled us. She took our order and placed the incorrect order. I mentioned that she should acknowledge the customer upon entry, and listen to the customer when ordering. She said she was training someone. At which point her tone turned cocky and rude. After all the attitude, she still got our order wrong. We ordered a strawberry banana shake and a strawberry malt and a mini Reese's blizzard. She returns with a chocolate malt. Yes that's three mistakes. Then when we do get the strawberry one, there was no malt. Please retrain Roxanne, and do not let her train a new employee. You might start with...
Read moreWorst service I've had from an ice cream joint in quite a while. Went for a blizzard during the street fair (i get its busy and i was willing to wait.) come to find out that what i wanted was limited due to business volume. No worries i have a plan for situations like this. I give the cashier my alternative and am given absolutely DISGUSTING attitude (for what i assume to be inconveniencing due to my order.) I at no time gave ANY attitude or anything for that matter. Long of the short is i WILL NEVER support a business that allows such customer disservice. BAD CASHIERS LEAD TO UPSET CUSTOMERS. I would rather go to Cold Stone Creamery where people are happy to receive...
