Let me start off by saying that the product is amazing in this shop, full of local artists and crafters that is 100% worth the visit for anyone local or out of town! Iāve been a customer several times here for holiday gifts and bday gifts/cards. My sister and sister in law visited for the holidays from Oklahoma wanting to get some Tucson-y stuff, so we stopped in here. My sister in law found an item she liked and was ready to pay. The woman who had just handled my purchase (gift wrapped my item and was very kind, white woman maybe in her 50ās with whiteish grey hair, I think she had glasses), questioned my sister in law on where she got the item. My sister in law pointed where exactly she got the item. The questioning from the employee continued as to suggest my sister in law was not being truthful. She had said something like āthis [item] is actually more [in this price range] but we will go ahead and honor whatās on this stickerā. My sister in law was caught off guard and I could tell was a bit embarrassed because she was holding up the line. The employee basically had insinuated that my sister in law had switched the tags, from a less expensive item, to get a lower price. My sister in law had responded something like āOh, I'm sorry, Iāll pay the price that it actually is?ā. The employee stopped making eye contact and lost her kind tone and smirk the same time as the questions started and said ā no thatās fine, weāll honor this priceā. My sister in law is very very kind and I felt so embarrassed for her as she defended herself to the employee in front of a line of maybe 5-7. Please, check all of your items prices in your store before you put the customer on the defense. I donāt know what it is about 4th avenue but the employees around several businesses are sometimes very rude And domineering. Itās not cool. You call yourselves the āheart of Tucsonā - then show some heart, show some kindness. I wonāt be back unfortunately, even though I love supporting a local...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely cannot say enough about this place, their goods or their staff. The work they offer is by incredible local artists and provides them a place to earn income and get recognition at a really important location (on 4th Ave) both for tourism and for the arts in Tucson.
Iām a local who was home for a visit and found a gorgeous piece that was exactly what Iād been looking for for years. I couldnāt possibly have carried it in my suitcase though, so the whole staff banded together to help me troubleshoot and come up with a solution, going as far as listing it on their website right then and there so I could āorderā it and pay for shipping that way. They were so so sweet, and even after all that, helped me wander the store and scrounge together the very specific coasters I wanted for a little custom collection š I even got a text from Libby a couple days later just making sure the arrangements were all good. Patronize this store!!! Support local businesses!! Support local artists! Support good people! Thank you for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was recently in search of a 'Tucson' t-shirt...sure, I can find Arizona or UofA all over the place, but I just wanted Tucson. The only places I could think of was the airport or resorts. The airport was out, because they are usually behind the check point...resorts are usually limited on sizes and way over priced. In asking around, someone mentioned 'Popcycle'...and what a find! Not having enough time to visit the store while in Tucson, I ordered 7 online and I love them. Not only are they much better than anything you could get commercially, they are designed by local artisans, they have several to choose from, and ship super fast. Next time I'm home, 'Popcycle' will definitely be on my 'must...
