Oh my this place is so great. If you're looking for Authentic Mexican breakfast, this is it. I know because we drove Puerto Vallarta last summer and the food at Fresita reminds me of many of the restaurants we visited on that trip. The first time we came here was mothers day and we dined in which wasn't too bad there's limited indoor seating and a big outdoor patio. The flies outside were a bit of an irritant but overall it wasnt too bad. This visit we Got carryout and that was perfect. This visit we shared the ranchero plate and fortunately the egg was cooked just right for me but N said it was runnier the first time, which he likes but not me I like my yolks well done so I probably won't risk that again. On our first visit I had the machaca breakfast plate which is frkn exquisite, I highly recommend it. N highly recommends the ranchero plate and he enjoyed their horchata as well. The prices are reasonable and the portions are...
Read moreMy second time visiting and had a good experience my first trip. However, this time I was deeply disappointed. I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga, the flauta plate, a chicken torta and a horchata. The only thing palatable was the horchata. The chicken in the torta was so salty it was inedible. My wife chocked on it first and I tried it and after one chew had to spit it out. My chimichanga looked horrible as it was soggy and not crispy due to the cream cheese and guac sauce smeared on top and sitting on a bed of wet lettuce. I understood a bit as I ordered to go due to covid-19, but the look of it was no worse than the inside. The beef, what there was of it, was way over salted. The rice had no flavor but I was able to eat some of the beans. Two dinners right in the trash. My daughter was ok with her flautas but would not order them again. I will not return to...
Read moreCan’t recommend this place unless there’s nothing else open. Most recent experience: Ordered four items by phone, got there to find they forgot to make one item so my other food sat in styrofoam while I waited. The meat was hard and chewy. And the meat did not even fill the bread. The topping on the tortas made them soggy and slimy and messy to eat. And the amount of canned jalapeños they put on the torta was excessive although it at least gave the torta some flavor. Otherwise the torta was bland and hard to eat. I didn’t even like the color of the paper they use to wrap the food haha. Sad to say the best thing in the order was the fries, but they were strictly grade C crinkle cut frozen fries and the cook forgot to salt them. I think maybe some folks recommend this place out of sympathy? Should mention the place...
