Fruit Shack Smoothies, Bowls & Juices — Restaurant in Tucson

First time here. Could be cute. The juice was fine. But I was so taken aback by how unfriendly the girl that waited on me was. When I walked in she was in the back…when she started to walk up I said “hey how’s it going?” And she didn’t respond at all…just continued to stare at me.

So I looked at the menu for a second and then said “how’s are you today?” Thinking maybe she just didn’t hear me before and she doesn’t even look up for the computer and just says “good.” No hello from her at any point…no “what can I get for you?” And no “I’m good how are you?” I honestly almost walked out. Ordered the Energizer juice. Super expensive but it was good. 13$ for 24 oz I think. Not necessarily more expensive than other places but for that treatment…I’ll give the money to another place.

I wasn’t going to tip and I’m in the service industry so I couldn’t bring myself to not…so I even still tipped this chick even though she was nothing but unpleasant the whole time.

When she gave me the juice I said “thank you so much” and all she says was “yep” while already walking away from me.

Like, hire people who are nice. You can’t even muster a “hello” to someone walking in to spend $13 on juice? I wish I had gone...

The smoothies are extremely tasty and they adjust each smoothie accordingly to how you want it ( they will take items out of it and add things to your liking or blend it more depending on the consistency you want with no fuss ). In my experience, the workers there have been incredibly kind and accommodating, especially since i can be particular with how i want things. They are extremely helpful and work with you.

They also have games and tables to play them on. The fruit shack has a very welcoming environment. I will be returning and recommending anyone who enjoys fruit smoothies and more to go there. BE KIND, no one will want to be kind to you if you aren't kind to them, and these workers certainly deserve kindness (I'm sure they would make their efforts is being kind to all of their customers, but its a lot harder when the customers suck)

This was an odd experience unfortunately. We walked through the door only to have the chairs and coffee table blocking us in so we were stuck standing in front of the door and unable to go further. I was confused at first and didn't understand why they didn't leave room for ppl to get through. We were told we weren't allowed to come closer and masks were required. We were completely caught off guard and were treated like biohazards. Not even a heads up from a sign before walking in about the odd arrangement once inside. So...we ordered behind our masks a good 16-20ft away from the guy behind the counter....I understand needing to play it safe but this was way over board. As a guest it just felt so unwelcoming. As far as the food, the yogurt was delicious and the soy based vanilla...
