Updated as of 6/30/2024- After my lackluster first experience I was contacted (as can be seen) by the owner and prompted to reach to customer service. I do so and was responded to almost immediately with apologies and compensation. I was instructed to create a rewards account (that automatically gives you a free gyro) and was offered $15 to try them again. I returned and tried their colossal gyro (without the spicy sauce) and of course the traditional gyro. I definitely am glad I reached out and I got to try the tatziki; it's pretty good, and so are the sandwiches. Their menu is fairly expensive but the ingredients they use taste and feel quality (I didn't revisit the rice so I can't speak on that). The service as well seemed to improve on the three visits I had. Hopefully this upcurve continues. This place is nice because it's non conventional 'fast food' at pretty reasonable prices. As of now, Gyro Shack has won back a customer 👍🏼
Ordered the deluxe with tatziki and as you can see there is no tatziki. I see the owner responds to reviews so hello, can you please make this right? The wait was fairly long and the entree was $12. I expect better. The rice...
Read moreI have been passing the one in Tucson for quite a while, and finally stopped the other night and did the drive through. It's such a clean exterior, with the bright white and crisp blue trim. Visually appealing! First impression: awesomely friendly voice over the speaker, and that's very rare anymore!
I ordered the Original Gyro, and got a nice, heavy, warm bag handed over to me by the super friendly, Matthew. We had a nice chat as there was nobody in line behind me right then. I was really impressed by the quality of service.
The Gyro was delicious, loaded with meat and veg, with plenty of tzaziki sauce, and the seasonings were spot on. The pita was soft, but the perfect amount of chewy, and fresh. The Baklava was tasty, though my piece was a tad drier than I prefer it; I'd order it again, though!
I popped back in today to thank them for both awesome e service and good food, and got to meet the equally-friendly general manager, Rose! I'll definitely go back and be a regular customer as long as i can fit it into my budget. The menu looks great, so I have other stuff to try! I definitely recommend Gyro Shack for your Greek Gyro,...
Read moreI am a big fan of gyros, ever since I ate at Pappoulies. I wanted to try this establishment out because it is a lot closer to my home. However, I was completely dissatisfied. The money that I spent was not worth the food that I ordered, even with a military discount. As soon as I got the price, I wished I had just canceled the order and gone elsewhere, but I figured I'd give it a try. However, before I ordered, I waited at least 15 minutes before my order was taken. I witnessed an employee actually turning away customers because it was too busy. After I finally ordered, I waited in my car for an additional 15 minutes. When I got home and fed my family, all uf us were disappointed in the product. My son commented that Arby's gyros were better. The meat was dry. My wife ate half of it and threw the rest away. I ate mine because I paid for it. Next time I'll travel to get Pappoulis. I'll get better food for much less. Very disappointing. The young lady that did take my order however was very polite and professional. Her customer service...
