Title: A Bittersweet Experience at McDonald's
Review: Not loving it
I visited the McDonald's in Tucson during the late hours and had a mixed experience that left a lasting impression. Despite the late hour, the place was humming with activity.
Firstly, the service was a bit delayed due to the manager's decision to prioritize tasks other than attending to customers. This caused an unnecessary wait to place my order. However, the lady who eventually took my order was not just efficient but incredibly kind. She even offered me a complimentary hash brown for the wait, a gesture that was much appreciated.
The food quality was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the sausage McGriddle. However, my positive dining experience was overshadowed by an uncomfortable incident. Two gentlemen were sitting quietly in the restaurant when the manager brusquely informed them that their allowed time was nearly up and they needed to leave. Their polite demeanor in response to this unwelcoming attitude was notable.
I empathized with these gentlemen, as they seemed to be seeking shelter from the cold, and shared my uneaten sandwich with one of them. It's disheartening to think that individuals are being turned away from a warm place over something as small as the price of a coffee.
In light of this, I believe the management needs to reassess their approach. Hospitality and kindness, as demonstrated by the front-line employee who served me, should be the standard, not the exception. The manager's behavior was not only unprofessional but also lacked basic empathy, which is crucial in the service industry.
In closing, while I have no critiques about how McDonald's prepares their food, I strongly feel that the management style at this particular location needs to be reevaluated. It's essential to treat all customers with respect and dignity, regardless of their circumstances. This incident was a stark reminder of the broader societal issues we face, where empathy and kindness are...

I Went here yesterday after work. i was hungry and meant to take a break but things kept popping up. anyway, a friend of mine got me craving McDonalds, so i went here since it was the closest one nearby and the other one doesn't seem to know how to wrap food. well, it wasn't much of a rush to what most are used to. but here's the jist of it all. One guy goes in cause he ordered something and it was the wrong order even though it was his order. The back of the house had only two people working, at 4 o'clock mind you, and there were people coming in and getting food. with the drive-through getting more of the business (So it wasn't a rush inside but it was a rush outside) and so the drive-through became a priority, which is fine. but with only two kiosks working, one of them was down and one was broken. it just seemed like the manager didn't care or he was one of the guys back there. but the highlight of ALL of this, the Pinnacle of it all, is that my food was left on the counter, and whoever the heck it was who was calling out orders, running orders and that being the highlight of his day, didn't even bother to look down, call the order or bring me my food. i should also mention that there weren't any of those tablets at any of the kiosks, so i had to make a number. anyway, I had to match the number on my receipt to the food on the counter and take it myself, with the guy whose only job it is there to give me a look. When i got to my spot, the Fries felt more like they were a medium instead of a large. i kept the Order paper and Kept my receipt in case there was any confrontation between me and him. i was ready to be rude and rip into him and his manager.

Read moreI rarely complain but it was too much for me not to. At roughly 435 AM on February 1st, I was told I could use the app rewards when I asked but then at the end of the transaction was told I wasn't able to. It took 20 minutes to get my food, dine in. When I finally did, the sausage was barely cooked. I went to ask for 1 refill and the manager(new manager w/ shift change) was quite quick and rude demanding my receipt. I was able to provide it to her and she snapped saying I had been there 47 minutes, I was initially denied a refill but after explaining to her that it took 20 minutes to get my food in the first place she sighed rolling her eyes and begrudgingly gave me one refill making sure I knew she would only do so once. I understand I probably looked homeless as I had just finished a 20 hour shift working on the sewers. Given it's a 24hr location I do understand they probably have a number of homeless that do linger beyond a reasonable amount of time. However, there was a group of motorcyclists there that were there before I arrived and even 20 minutes after I went and sat in my truck to do paperwork. I spent good money for lousy food and service, the more "expensive" places would have been better in every aspect as far as I'm concerned, including a dine...
