I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Buffalo Exchange. After spending my entire morning carefully washing, sorting, and preparing clothes to bring in, I waited in line for 26 minutesāonly to be completely ignored when it was finally my turn. The staff was too busy chatting with each other about something that had happened earlier in the week to even acknowledge me.
They glanced at just two or three items before loudly announcing, in front of everyone, that because they found a tiny speck of a bug on one item (we live in the desertābugs happen), they would be ending the buy immediately. I was embarrassed and taken aback. I politely explained that all the clothes had been freshly laundered that morning, yet the employee still said, āIf youād like to go home and launder your items, youāre welcome to bring them back.ā That comment was completely insultingāespecially after I just explained to her that they were all freshly laundered.
For context, I had just purchased plants from the nursery earlier that morning, and the bug likely came from the trunk of my carānot from my clean clothes. The assumption and public shaming were unnecessary and unprofessional.
This isnāt my first time having a disappointing experience at Buffalo Exchange, but it will absolutely be the last. The ongoing lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic respect for customers is unacceptable.
Honestly, itās no wonder their business is strugglingāpeople would much rather sell on Poshmark or go somewhere theyāre actually treated with respect.
I will never return to Buffalo Exchange or shop there again, and I wouldnāt recommend this place to anyone who values their time,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreafter selling to buffalo exchange for 20 years (helen street). i was told today that i was placed on a "list". so everytime i go to sell (which is maybe twice a month) that i can only sell on wed thur fri sat. and i must be by the store manager by appoinent. i cannot go sell sun mon tues at any buffalo exchange. the manager said it was a new policy and for inventory control. this is very strange. i never heard of it until i went to sell today. does anyone besides myself think this is discrimination? i never ever caused any issues at there stores. i never disrested any of there employees. i never mistreating anyone. i go there sell and usually take the the cash unless they have tennis shoes on sale and i take trade. when i go sell i have several trash bags full. but being that i have been trending for 30 years i know vintage to current styles. alot of my vintage gets purchased by employees. they tag the item and put underneath the counter.... now behind curtains behind the registers. i just keep thinking about there new policy and strongly feel there is some kind of discriminatory practices going on here. for instance: a buyer who did not know me was buying really good. one of the assistant managers whispered to her something and she passed the rest of the items. in the past i have had checks written to me. today i took 3 small bags and made $36 dollars but was told i had to comply to the new policy. feelng frustrated and really down. when your told your not wanted in the store to sell sun mon tue if feels discrimatory and unjust. does anyone else experience this? or does anyone feel it discrimnation? does any one want to join me to picket the...

I just came back from Twice as Nice ⦠the manager Sarah is so kind and welcoming. I go to this store quite often. I went to Buffalo exchange a few times and each time a very bad experience.
Do NOT be over 30 to shop in this store. The woman/girl at the counter treated me like I was some kind of nursing home escapee. Yuk old people over 30 type of thing. They even asked to see my license (just in case I stole these items & looking to make some big bucksā¦like $10 but⦠never bought anything from me ever. Still canāt figure out why she wanted to see my license) and when she saw my age a look of distain crept over her face.I knew before she looked at anything it would be a thumbs down.
I am hip especially when it comes to clothes, and I love tailored fitted look butā¦..omg ā¦the clothes at Buffalo exchange old looking, so frumpy , baggy & some only suitable for a prepubescent girl desperately trying to look cool.
I brought in a pair of brand new Nike black cushion soled work out shoes still in the box and they refuse to buy them. Saying that they werenāt the latest fashion? I quickly sold them on craigslist for nearly what I paid for themā¦.. And that finally did it in for meā¦
I will never step foot in this store again I gave it a couple of tries and yikes the rudeness of the staffā¦. It was shocking especially compared to twice as nice and other stores. DO NOT SHOP...
