09JAN2025: The burger and wings are simply outstanding. Came in with an Instagift card, manager came from the kitchen and processed it no problemo! Overall 5 star service, food and expierence. Thanks Trident on Speedway Team! 06SEP2024: Consistent! Split the ‘Super Rueben” today, sat at the bar supported by Kellyn and David stopped over from the Kitchen to say hello – the ‘Super Rueban’ was ON POINT. That sandwich could not have been better. Split the plate with slaw on the side and a couple Dragoon IPAs – great Friday lunch. Thanks again Trident and company on Speedway! Bellied up to the bar for lunch last Friday, greeted by an energetic Kellynn who did a wonderful job taking care of us. Her smile, and welcoming enthusiasm were refreshing. First time in, and a nice surprise to find another ‘good’ place to land occasionally in central. It was a Friday, and the crowd was a nice find, still plenty of seats however a true indication that this place is passing the test of time. Began with a cup of Grandma’s clam chowder, a bit unconventional, but we loved it, unconventional in that it had a ‘hint’ of a warm smokey flavor – so good, definitely recommend and will order again. Split the 3-piece Alaskan Cod, which the kitchen graciously separated for us without our asking, and after ordering crispy fries – we got crispy fries. Spot on Kitchen ‘Seal ‘ Team! Both chowder and entrée delivered by Teddy – I mention him because it is becoming increasingly rare that the person delivering your food ACTUALLY cares if you are satisfied. As he delivered our neighbor’s plates…and ours, you could tell Teddy reviews the plate for presentation before leaving the kitchen, a rarity these days… My experience too often is the server moves plates from location ‘A’ to “B’ and doesn’t recognize their role in the experience – not Teddy! My one suggestion, I’d like to see more ‘non big box’ beers. Numerous taps run the gamut from all the mainstream brewers, Voodoo, 805, Dos Equis Amber, etc. While there was a single IPA (Dragoon) on tap (and I am not suggesting they all be IPAs, that is also sub-optimized), a barrio rojo or hipster…maybe something from Iron John’s? I believe that Dragoon was the only local craft brew with a personality and an ABV > 5%. #i1 Trident Grill, we salute you!

🔥Reviewing: Trident Grill ✌🏼 🔥Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (will definitely go back) 🔥Address: 2033 E Speedway Blvd (there’s multiple locations but this one is the one we went to). 🔥Number of people eating: 4 adults (me being 38 weeks pregnant). 🔥Hours: Sun-Thurs: 11am-11pm Fri-Sat: 11am-12am 🔥Happy Hour: Mon-Fri: 3-6pm 🔥Atmosphere: Very homey and inviting. Relaxed as well. Loved the vibe. This was at 12:30, was busy but wasn’t loud at all and chill. 🔥Staff: Shawna was our waitress and she was absolutely lovely and checked on us a few times to make sure the food was good and if we needed anything. We all even had some conversations with her as well which was cool. Very personable and professional. 🔥Food: My order: Fish & Chips (subbed for sweet potato fries). Fish was soooo juicy and freaking delicious! Mouthwatering! My drink was Dr Pepper since I really wanted strawberry lemonade which they don’t have unfortunately, I originally ordered regular lemonade but it was nasty 🤢 I sent it back and got Dr Pepper since they didn’t have root beer either lol. *My bill before tip: $25 2 friends order: Chicken tenders with fries and Sandwich. 2 drinks. *Bill before tip: $36 1 friend order: Steakhouse burger and water. *Bill before tip: $16 We all really enjoyed this place and will return! 🙌🏼

Our waitress Kaytlynn was fantastic. She was friendly and very personable. We shared a large nacho with beef and had their salsa and avocado lime sauce on the side. Oh let me tell you how incredibly delicious it all was. The salsa had such a wonderful roasted tomato taste that I just loved. And the avocado lime sauce was superb. The nachos were very good and HUGE! I loved the freshly made tortilla chips. I also noticed a waitress named Alexis who was also very attentive to her customers, but really impressed me when she asked the people at the table behind me if they wanted glasses of water to take with them. The chef was very obliging when I had asked for a sample of their gumbo and clam chowder. I had never had gumbo before but it was good. The chowder would have tasted better had it not only smelled burnt but had a slight burnt taste to it also. It was not the best I've ever had, but I would eat it again if not burnt. And the drink called Tucson Tap Water was tasty. And I don't care for gin or vodka but it was good.

I recently had an immensely unsatisfactory experience at Trident Grill. I don't typically write negative reviews, but this occasion has necessitated the expression of my disappointment.

The evening began on a wrong note when we were kept waiting for our table for half an hour past our reservation time. This would have been manageable if the following service was up to par.

Our server, Ryan, seemed noticeably uninterested in providing a quality dining experience. There was a profound lack of attentiveness that punctuated our interactions. We waited excessively long for our drink orders, and Ryan seemed to have forgotten about us entirely until I flagged him down.

When we eventually ordered our food, Ryan showed no interest in helping us navigate the menu or offer any suggestions, despite our explicit request. His communication skills were disappointingly subpar, creating a disconnected and impersonal dining experience.

To add to the discontent, our food orders arrived haphazardly, disrupting the flow of the meal. Some dishes were tepid as if they had been sitting out for too long before being served. Ryan, when notified about the lukewarm dishes, didn't seem apologetic or willing to amend the situation in a timely manner.

Given the reputation that Trident Grill has, I was taken aback by the poor quality of service. It's unfortunate when a server's indifferent attitude detracts from the potential enjoyment of a meal. It's even more disheartening when it significantly impacts the overall dining experience. It's my hope that Trident Grill improves its staff training and ensures more engaged service...

If I could give no stars, I would! I absolutely would not recommend this place unless all you want to do is drink, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Came here with a birthday person who wanted to come here for a steak dinner. They do not believe in stocking condiments around here! No sugar for your iced tea, or salt and pepper for your food, on any of the tables near by either! The four servers were too busy chatting with themselves at the cook’s station to engage with customers, to check and see if my partner wanted another beer, to see if the steak was cooked ok, it was not. The potatoes were overcooked and grossly over-fried, the asparagus was burned tasting and the steak was raw in the middle. Yuck! Most places will ask you how your steak is after you try it, but not this place! We even came here early. Don’t waste your time and money! Go where you will be treated well, and actually checked on, and where the food is actually good! Too bad, I used to really like coming here but now you couldn’t pay me to come back here. Never again. It’s usually over/under cooked fried bar food anyhow. You’ll have a better time elsewhere. Save yourself some money too. If all you want is greasy over/under fried bar food and a bunch of alcohol though, I recommend it. Because that’s probably what you’ll get if the servers aren't too busy chatting amongst themselves to...
