tl;dr: a little expensive, great pasta, the Bolognese was the worst I've ever had
We've been to Noodies a couple of times now. It's very cute and pleasant to sit in. The pasta is unsurprisingly great, and the vodka sauce is wonderful. It's so good I could eat it as soup.
The downside is that it's expensive. $13 for a paper bowl of noodles with sauce is a little bit steep, but not egregiously so, and totally understandable given the cost of running a restaurant these days.
What will keep me from coming back here however is the Bolognese. The Bolognese was a thin, oily substance of ground meat and not much else that smelled like the grease trap at a burger joint. I only had two bites before deciding that it was something I'd regret finishing. I'm not trying to be funny or dramatic: it was genuinely revolting sauce that I can still taste an hour after trying it, which is a shame because the core concept and the rest of the food we've tried here has been killer. I don't know whether it's always like this or if I was served the wrong thing or what, but we won't be back and this makes me hesitant to try Ceres as well despite the...
Read moremy boyfriend and i had been excited to check this place out for a while & were so disappointed when we did. first impressions are super important & we weren’t greeted with the friendliest staff, they were informative, but also seemed annoyed that my boyfriend didn’t know what he wanted right away (as it was our first time). we spent $50 on our pasta thinking it’d be worth it. once we got our food, although the flavor was amazing, some noodles were left chewy/hard. we also didn’t received the toast it was supposed to come with and we weren’t informed until i had to ask them where it was. (they were out & still charged the same amount). the server was also cleaning up around us like they were closing when we had gotten there 1.5 hours before close and were out 55 minutes before they closed. it all felt very rushed and like they did not want us there, from not fully cooking the noodles, but also the energy we got when we were ordering. we tipped good too so i’m not sure why we were rushed, very...
Read moreThe food was good but a little expensive for what it was (I paid $20 for a bowl of pasta with two meatballs and a bottled horchata. My friends paid $13 for a bowl of pasta and an extra side of bread snd then $4 for the soft serve). The white/butter sauce was fairly plain, but the red sauce was excellent. The focaccia bread was perfect and the soft serve was a good serving size for the price (and came with chunks of brownies). Service was quick and friendly and the bathrooms were small but clean. I’d recommend this for a quick and decent pasta bite if you’re not looking for the cheapest...
