NOT A SPACE FOR QUEER PEOPLE! Unless you like your cookies served with a side of homophobia, and religion maybe don’t go! The first time my partner and I visited, the woman did nothing but glare at us. This last time the woman was extremely friendly at first, then the backhanded compliments started flying in. I don’t need you to tell me about your old “homosexual lifestyle” and tell me you “love people for where they’re at”. Then she tried to turn it around like she was being sweet for not “throwing scripture at us”. I literally came to get a snickerdoodle. Please sit down. I ordered these online from out of town to send as gift to someone staying in a nearby hotel. On the day of delivery, the hotel mistakenly didn't accept the delivery. Barbee Cookies's (I spoke with Jan several times) went above and beyond to make sure that the cookies were delivered. Plus, the person who I ordered them for raved about them!
