Stopped by Wednesday for a quick lunch with my sister. While the quickness escaped us, it was through no fault of the staff who dealt with an out the door lunch rush line in just 15 minutes, and got us our food in just under 10 more. I can see some people finding that a reason to knock a star off, but if you'd seen how packed the place was you'd be a giddy as me.
The Philtower sandwich was everything I wanted it to be, which was a simple turkey sandwich on good bread. There's something to be said about doing the basics just the right way and I think this place makes a great example of that. Working across the street is definitely going to have me coming by more often, especially now that I've seen the $7 Toaster Sandwiches for breakfast on their chalkboards.

I don't eat pork and they have no non-pork alternatives, so I ask if I can have avocado instead, a $2 charge on their menu.
So I get charged sandwich +$2.
So the cost of this sandwich is less and they are charging me more because I don't eat pork. I could even understand a $1 upcharge for, say, turkey bacon bc it would be a less common ingredient for them to stock.
