A Stellar First Visit to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Tulsa, OK The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure that my group had everything we needed for a great experience. Their kindness set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible evening. To start, we sampled two beers: their house IPA and the Angry Orchard cider. The IPA was bold, with a perfect balance of hoppy bitterness and a crisp finish, while the Angry Orchard offered a sweeter, refreshing counterpoint that paired well with the food. For appetizers, we tried the Chicken Nachos and the Fried Chili Pot Stickers. The nachos came loaded with flavorful toppings, from tender chicken to gooey cheese and zesty pico de gallo, offering the perfect bite every time. The pot stickers were a standout, with a crispy exterior and a chili-infused filling that packed just the right amount of heat. The accompanying dipping sauce was tangy and elevated the dish even further. For entrées, we sampled a variety to really get a feel for BJ’s menu. The Chicken Parmesan was a classic, served with perfectly breaded chicken and a rich marinara sauce over al dente pasta. The Deep Dish Five Meat Pizza was indulgent, boasting a hearty crust loaded with housemade meatballs, pepperoni, smoked ham, smoked bacon, italian sausage, and parmesan cheese creating the ultimate carnivore's delight. Lastly, the Jambalaya was a pleasant surprise—bold and spicy, with a mix of shrimp, chicken, and sausage over fluffy rice that captured the essence of New Orleans. We couldn’t leave without dessert, and the Cinnamon Pazookie was the cherry on top of the evening. This warm, gooey skillet cookie was bursting with cinnamon flavor and topped with creamy vanilla ice cream—a comforting and decadent treat to end the meal. Overall, BJ’s in Tulsa delivered an exceptional first-time dining experience. From the welcoming staff to the diverse and delicious menu, every detail exceeded expectations. This is a spot I’ll absolutely return to, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and hospitality.

So this is the second time we’ve ordered from this place, and the first time was not great but not terrible. I thought we’d give them a try tonight. Oh Lord, was I wrong!!! We DoorDash it, and the first thing I noticed is the bag is not sealed properly and they did not put any covering on our french fries, so if anybody wanted to stick their hands in the bag, they could get my french fries. That’s just gross and unsanitary. But If that was all the issue was, I could’ve just worked around it by making fresh french fries- I ordered the California chicken sandwich with french fries and bowl of broccoli cheese soup. The broccoli and cheese soup not good- there’s no broccoli in it, it’s just cheese soup. Again, not the worst part. what I got on my sandwich made my stomach turn-First, the bacon is not crispy, It’s thin, Opaque color, and flimsy. Basically, it’s Cafeteria style microwave bacon. Second, The avocado is completely rotten, To the point where it is brown and it has that nasty taste that avocados get when they’re rotten. Now, I can understand poorly packaged food, you’re in a rush things get knocked over. I’m good with working through that, And someone forgot to put broccoli in the broccoli cheese soup, it happens . But Rotten food that’s unforgivable. Someone in that kitchen picked up two pieces of rotten avocados stuck on that sandwich and said to themselves “they won’t mind”. Then proceeded to put flimsy disgusting microwave bacon, and then thought, I should lather that sandwich roasted garlic aïoli, So that will overpower anything disgusting on this sandwich. So by the time I got this mess, it was a mushy, rotten disgusting sandwich and they charged me $27 and some change, that include includes the tax. There are way better restaurants out there, that would appreciate the business. Restaurants That actually take pride of what they are bringing to the table or delivering. Save yourself Your money and go to a different restaurant. Props to DoorDash, though I did get my money back.

I wish I would have read the reviews ahead of time. If I could rate Zero Stars I would. Wednesday 5/15 about 10pm We were looking for a decent date night restaurant where I could have a beer... We were sorely disappointed. The host acted like it was an inconvenience to seat my wife and I. Once we were seated, we were greeted by the most inattentive server I have ever had. She had a bad attitude and seemed to be upset that we were taking her away from her table of coworkers 2 tables away. I asked for her beer recommendation and was recommended the "Jeremiah Red." I'm no connoisseur, but I know my beers, and this red was bland, watered down, and flat. I told our server I wasn't going to drink it, and she looked at me like I was out of my mind and spoke with disgust. At least she removed it from our bill. The restaurant was basically empty and we were still ignored. The conversation at her table of coworkers was loud enough to hear and was blatantly sexual in nature, to the point my wife got sick to her stomach. My wife ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich and I ordered the Tri-Tip Wedge. The food was the only decent thing about this trip, and that's all it was, not great but decent. Our server walked past us several times before ever asking how our meal was. She asked every question (dessert, check, etc.) in passing so we had to stop her from walking off to ask for a box. As a former server, I HAVE NEVER left anywhere without tipping, but I did tonight. This was hands down some of the worst service I have ever received, and definitely the worst experience I've had at a restaurant with the audacity to charge $8 for a beer. I will NEVER visit this place again.

I'm looking forward to updating this review at a later date. I expected to be rating this restaurant at five stars but this new Tulsa location is not quite up to the level of service that it's Texas locations is.

If you've ever been to BJ's you know that the food is typically fantastic! However this new location has a few growing pains that it needs to deal with very quickly if it wants to maintain its reputation.

Our first visit was on November 27th. They were extremely busy and had a long wait. I do not hold this against them at all and this does not count against them in my book. Our large party had a wonderful experience. Our white staff was excellent But the time it took for food to get to our table was unacceptable. From the time that we ordered until the time food came to the table, it took about 45 minutes. Again, I understand that they were busy but this does seem excessive. Most of the food came out just fine. I heard many positive rumblings among the table. However, myself and one other person both ordered chicken and both of our chickens were undercooked and partly unedible. With the ticket times being so long we saw no value in alerting our waiter to the issue. We simply filled ourselves up with appetizers and bites of other people's food.

Upon leaving I pulled a manager aside and told them about our experience, both the positive and the negative. I told them I wasn't looking for anything for free but that I thought they should know. The manager kindly apologized and told us to come back in and that they would make it right.

We came back in tonight with a much smaller party. They were busy but nowhere near as busy as they were when we first came. There was no wait and we were able to sit down immediately. However, it took about 6 minutes for us to first be acknowledged by our waitress and the gentleman she was training.

When they brought the drinks out, they brought a full-sized large glass to my 6 year old, and forgot my limes. No big deal... I asked for a kids drink and asked them for my limes for my water.

We also ordered the queso. Shortly after the queso arriving we were forced to send it back. It tasted like canned nacho cheese sauce... Nothing like the way it was described on the menu. Still no limes...

I spoke with a manager and explained our previous experience and she offered to comp my meal to make up for last time. I kindly accepted the offer.

Two people in our party requested refills... When they didn't come we reminded them that we needed refills... The food came... The food set for about 5 minutes on our table while we waited for refills which we again had to remind the wait staff that we needed. When the food came out, my daughter's plate was missing two of the ingredients. when we brought this to our waitress's attention, no apology was made. She wasn't rude, she just didn't apologize. In fact, through all the forgotten refills, the problems with the food, the limes that at this point had not come out after an hour and three times of asking, no apology was ever given.

I eventually had to ask someone else for the limes and got them promptly... An hour after originally asking.

Once they got all the entrees to us, they asked if we needed anything else... I honestly wanted something else in regards to a different sauce for my food but I did not have the confidence that I would receive it, therefore I never asked.

At the end of the meal we were given the ticket which did have my meal comped for the previous visits mistake. We appreciated that. However, on the ticket there was a charge for my daughter's soda... I asked if the kids meals come with a soft drink and the waitress told me that they did but that she had originally brought a full-size soft drink and that's why it was on the ticket. She acted confused why I was asking if it could be taken off the ticket. My 6 year old daughter does not look older than 6 years old... She got a kid's meal... Why did we bring out a large drink for her in the first place? I have no idea. Why they tried to charge me for that...

Today I dined at this restaurant and from the beginning it got worse at every turn. We were seated (wife, daughter and myself) and advised that our waiter was on break, So the she would be taking our order. I ordered a drink from the bar, my daughter a water with lemon and my wife a unsweetened tea with lemon. The lady then looked at us and said "hold on I didn't know yall were gonna be fancy". We repeated our order now that she had her pad and pen and she walked away. A little while longer our waiter came over introduced himself and brought the water and tea( no lemon) we asked for calamari he stated it would be out in 5 or so mins. Approx 5 mins later my drink arrived at the table and after the 1st sip I noticed that it was not an alcoholic drink but a mocktail. The waited came over and I explained to him this was not what I ordered. He said he would go put it in and we asked again for lemon. A little while later the calamari came to the table (was a little cold like it had been sitting for a bit but not bad). And after that out lemon showed. We order our food, me a jalapeno burger add patty and guacamole with reg fries.. my daughter tri tip combo with chicken, white cheddar potatoes and mozzarella and tomato salad. My wife said "exactly what she ordered ill have". Waiter said okay and left. A little while longer my drink showed. Approx 15 mims later our food came out except my wife had no chicken on her plate. We told the waiter and he was instructed by I assume the Manger to just add a piece of chicken. As we begin to eat my daughter finds a hair (short like beard hair) in her chicken. We tell the waiter and he walks away and comes back with a small plate and asked her to push her steak and potatoes off the plate and they would just bring another piece of chicken. Ummm okay sure. Moments later another piece of chicken arrives (like 2 mins) and they ask if we need anything we ask for bbq sauce. Waiter says okay and walks away. Food-burger and fries great. Steak good. Chicken taste like salt. Waiter walks by, again can we have some BBQ sauce? He says okay, a couple of mins later finally bbq sauce. (Good because it's the only thing that make the chicken not so salty). Not one time did we ever receive or asked if we needed refills(even though cups were empty and we were still eatting)We eat he brings the check and we look it over......after all that we get charge for the chicken they forgot. At this point we are done. We pay by phone so we don't have to deal with anymore screw ups and leave. As we drive away I call ask to speak to manager, when he answers I politely ask how I can get in touch with the district manager. (Remeber he has been there the entire time and has not come to our table to help in this matter except to tell the waiter to just add a piece of chicken.) He proceeds to ask how he can help. I explained I just would like to know how to contact the district manager or have him contact me. I'm then told that he's not going to just give his info out without me explaining to him what happened. At this point I'm done, I explained that he can either have him call me or I will go thru corporate. At this time he takes my info and says he will have GM call me tomorrow. I will never return to another BJs not just in the Tulsa area but anywhere. This again was the worse service I have ever received at...

I came to Tulsa for a business trip and to get away with some of the Office girls, we’re not from Tulsa so we googled restaurants near us. BJ’s looked like a fantastic little spot from the pictures online it looked very clean hip and modern. The food also looked really good. When we arrived Our experience was awful from the beginning. We were seated, but not greeted for quite some time by our waiter, he finally came over and gave a subpar greeting and asked if he could get us anything to drink I asked if they knew how to make a lemon drop as they have a full bar. He said he would have to check came back after about 10 minutes and said they were able to make that for me, I said great. We waited for probably at least another 20 -25 minutes before we got drinks, when he brought back the drinks, mine was absolutely terrible. It tasted like straight up lemon juice with sugar around the rim nothing more, I didn’t complain. I just sat there and waited for him to come around again, which was quite some time. He finally came over and took our food order And I asked if I could just get a draft instead, no problem. About 35 minutes go by and they bring out one plate of food for one of my coworkers, me and the other girl, who are sharing a very sizable steak , are just sitting there. They drop off that one dish and leave... The waiter comes by and informs us that they have burned our steak and it will be just a bit longer. Keep in mind at this point we’ve probably been here for close to an hour. The service is so slow we were ignored the entire time by our waiter, he touched our table, maybe Four times the whole experience… when he informed us of our burned steak, I asked if they were still working on that beer that I ordered 40 mins ago by this time and I had still not received that either he then looked at me and said oh my bad I forgot to put it in. I’m not even gonna lie. His demeanor and verbiage was pretty juvenile like this throughout the whole experience saying things like “for sure for sure” and “my bad”. Another 15 minutes goes by. I finally get my beer. Another 10 minutes goes by. We finally get our steak. Our coworkers completely done eating by this point and she said her dish was not very good so she just picked around at it. I believe she got a Cajun salad of some kind. Our steak was extremely overcooked we ordered it medium again not really wanting to stay there longer than we need to as our experience has been awful. We’re starving and pick around at the plate a little bit. Finally flag down our waiter after trying for another 20 minutes to get his attention keep in mind the restaurant is not full either we are maybe the eighth table in the whole restaurant and it’s a pretty sizable place.. there was no remorse no apology just a “ my bad “ we paid the ticket at full price, nothing was discounted after waiting for an entire hour to even receive our plate of food, and left as soon as we could I will never go back to this place. I am not being dramatic in the time framing either. It seemed like we were here for much longer than that. We were ignored, spoken to with very little respect, It was possibly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant and I eat out a lot. I’m not a complainer and rarely write reviews, but this was just Insane and took me back a bit. I would not recommend...
