Me, my husband, and daughter visited the Cobbler Mom on a recent trip to Tulsa. We love trying new places and decided to visit the really cute place in the Greenwood district (Black Wall Street). The restaurant was small but very clean. There was a menu that had several types of cobblers listed and lunch items: beans and cornbread, beef tips and cabbage, and turkey burgers. Not a lot of choices but I picked this particular place because my husband loves sweets.
To our surprise the only item for lunch was the turkey burgers, so we all had turkey burgers. They were a little more than warm but not hot and they were a bit dry but had a good flavor. We were all given Fritos (I will never eat those), and there were no substitutes for the chips. Next was the peach cobbler and apple cobbler. I guess my expectations were too high, because the base for the cobbler was not thick, it was slightly thicker than the juice you get from can peaches.
The owner was pleasant, held a nice conversation with us, and was very accommodating. Brought food to the tables in takeout boxes (which was fine because I always get a box to go), she brought out bags, with the spoons inside, and paper towel roll for the table, so if you are a person who is COVID sensitive you cannot find a cleaner place.

Read moreMy family & I are in town visiting from the Phoenix area. We were in the Black Wall Street area & decided to get some food. I googled black owned restaurants & Cobbler Mom came up so we decided to try it! Me & my sisters were NOT disappointed! We ordered the beans & cornbread (vegetarian) & the beef tips with cabbage & cornbread. Couldn’t decide which cobbler to try so we ordered cherry and peach. Not only was the food AMAZING but so was the service! Ms Joyce is so friendly! She made us feel so welcome we didn’t want to leave! Definitely recommend this restaurant! If we ever visit Tulsa again, we will...
Read moreCustomer service was great. Even though we went at about 520pm and they close at 6pm, they still offered for us to eat in. I had higher expectations for the food and cobbler. The greens could use more seasoning and it was watery but edible. The tips were okay. I was expecting some beef ribs or something of that sort. They are known for their cobbler so that's what I was rooting would be the best. It was seasoned perfectly but I like more crust, less juices....to each his own really. It also messed my stomach up, having the runs is no fun. I wouldnt go back but they are...
