St. Vitus — Restaurant in Tulsa

Most of the staff are lovely, and all of them very hardworking. Shots are about half a shot, but considering the average clientele... occasionally vomit, I can kind of understand that. I usually have a good enough time, meet new people, see friends, dance. However, there's an intentionally crowded aspect to the location which makes it uncomfortable. On a recent visit, at last call, one of the staff, the busgirl with long dark hair, chose to immediately harass the remaining crowd using a megaphone inside at close distance, to herd them out the doors... even though there's only one exit and limited access. My hearing is valuable to me, so I found this completely unacceptable, since I was subjected to this abuse even when using the closest available exit. It's one example of the contradictions that exist in this space. Altogether, it attracts very few cool people and primarily vanity, reflecting the establishment itself. There's a lot of room for improvement, and the management are likely most accountable. I assume they feel they can do as they please with few/no competing electronic music venues in the area. I hope this comes off as constructive criticism, because I do appreciate the artists and many of the staff. I'd encourage them to move on if things don't...

Saint Vitus offers something Tulsa desperately needed. This location offers a beautiful brutalism art style in the stained glass windows. Gorgeous interior furniture that accent the art style well. Unisex bathrooms featuring one off murals in each stall that are lit beautifully by recessed lighting. The light feature above the dance floor is a sight to behold with many, many unique light options. The infinity mirrors make the location feel larger and are a great addition. The cocktails are unique styles that are tapped out of kegs and are very quick to receive. Don't let the kegs fool you, the cocktails are worthy of the price. The bartenders are fun and lively. Everything about this place is great. Sometimes when there's a lot of people here I'll think to myself. I wish this place was just a little bigger. The music , DJs, bartenders, discipline that provides flow, and the environment make the experience electrifying every time. I'm an older guy and when I was younger we went to any rave that we found out about. Including some of the ones that were in Oklahoma City and we had no address., no cell phones, but we always found it. I don't dance because I like it.
